Eulsam Hof (을삼호프) is a draft beer pub on Supyo-ro, near Euljiro 3-ga Station, and this time we came as a third round. It was a long night. We did rounds one and two in Haebangchon, wandered around Myeongdong, and then crossed over to Euljiro. So Eulsam Hof was round three.

Is Eulsam Hof a standing bar?

The internet said it was a standing bar, but thankfully it has chairs, hahaha. In round three I was wondering if we'd have to stand and drink! After already visiting two places, I can't tell you how happy I was to sit down. It's a great spot for one more casual drink. If you're looking for a third-round place near Euljiro 3-ga Station, take note.

Eulsam Hof hours and prices

Eulsam Hof is open every day from 17:00 to 1 a.m. the next day, and the Cass Sulsul draft beer is ₩4,900. Being open until 1 a.m. makes it perfect for a third round like ours.

How do you order at Eulsam Hof?

At Eulsam Hof you view the menu and order with a QR code. You don't need to call a staff member, so it was convenient. We ordered Eulsam Golbaengi (₩19,000), Cass Sulsul draft (₩4,900) and lemon beer (₩5,900).

But after we ordered, the staff first brought us a beer coaster. They said it's worth reading before you drink. It made me think this isn't just any pub, it's a place that cares about beer. You can see a shop's character in details like this, right?

What's on top of the lemon beer's foam?

Eulsam Hof's lemon beer (₩5,900) comes with lemon zest on top of the foam. It was the first beer to arrive, and wow, I'd never seen this before, so it was fascinating.

When you drink it, the lemon aroma hits you right away. You drink through the foam, so the scent bursts from the very first sip. Then once the foam settled, I saw there was really a lot of zest in there. It's nice to get little bits to chew while you drink beer, isn't it? That texture stays with you. You can drink it refreshingly to the very end.

Is Eulsam Hof's Cass Sulsul draft different from Cass elsewhere?

Eulsam Hof's Cass Sulsul draft (₩4,900) went down much cleaner and smoother than the Cass we had in round two, even though it's the same Cass draft. This is seriously a big deal. The Cass Sulsul is what really surprised me here.

We'd had Cass draft in round two, so the Cass taste was still in our mouths when we arrived. And yet it's not the same Cass draft at all? It's really good. It doesn't taste like Cass. Because we could compare it with the one from round two, the difference felt even clearer.

It was so good that I looked into why, and I think it comes down to hygiene and pouring. Draft beer is ultimately about upkeep. Depending on whether the lines are properly cleaned and how the foam ratio is set when pouring, the same beer can taste completely different. Eulsam Hof is solid on that front. It deserves to be called an Euljiro draft beer hotspot. If you're looking for a place with tasty draft beer in Euljiro, have a glass at Eulsam Hof and you'll see what I mean.

Is Eulsam Golbaengi very spicy?

Eulsam Hof's Eulsam Golbaengi (spicy whelk, ₩19,000) was a little spicy for a spice wimp like me, but with the cabbage that comes alongside, I could enjoy it fine. And here's the whelk~~

It was spicy, but with the cabbage it was chewy and so good! The cabbage neutralizes the heat and adds a crunchy texture too. If you're not good with spice, use the cabbage generously. That's how I finished it all.

It's an ideal snack to have with beer. Salty and spicy, it keeps calling for more beer, right? If you're ordering just one snack at an Euljiro 3-ga bar, the Eulsam Golbaengi is a good pick.

Eulsam Hof is an Euljiro pub that's great for a casual drink. It's close to Euljiro Station too, and the prices are so, so kind. It's open until 1 a.m., so it's also good to head over after round one or two.
