How did we end up at Eulsam Hof Euljiro Main Branch?
We'd been out in Myeongdong and suddenly craved a cold draft beer, so we headed over to Euljiro for the first time in a while. So many draft beer places have opened around Euljiro 3-ga since my last visit! While browsing, the music drifting out of Eulsam Hof (을삼호프) pulled us in, haha 💕

How long is the walk from Euljiro 3-ga Station to Eulsam Hof?
By subway, Eulsam Hof Euljiro Main Branch is a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Euljiro 3-ga Station. Come out of the exit, go straight toward Cheonggyecheon, then turn into the alley toward Supyo-ro, and there it is on the first floor! The location is the best, the best.

A draft beer master manager is posted right at the entrance, so I could tell right away, ah, this place does draft well. Instant trust.
What are the atmosphere and seating like at Eulsam Hof?
The interior feels perfect for stopping mid-walk with a friend and having a casual beer each! There's space under the table for bags and coats, so it was comfortable 🤗
The whole place has a warm, retro feel, which reminded me even more of the draft beers I used to drink with friends after lectures, haha

Sulsul beer: soft foam, drink within 3 minutes
First, Eulsam Hof's Sulsul beer skims off the coarse foam and tops the glass with only dense, soft foam. It goes down smooth and clean, and the staff recommended drinking it within 3 minutes.

Toktok beer: no foam, best between 3 and 7 minutes
Eulsam Hof's Toktok beer is poured full to the brim with beer only and no foam, so it's clean, with a sharp fizz and a crisp finish. The staff explained it's best to drink it between 3 and 7 minutes, while you can really feel the carbonation.

How does the dried pollack snack come out at Eulsam Hof?
Eulsam Hof's hwangtae (dried pollack) is a dry snack, served with peanuts, seaweed and a dipping sauce. The hwangtae showed up right after the beer!
Even when you're full, you have to order a dry snack like this… ✨✨
The hwangtae is grilled crisp and mild. Dip it in the sauce for a nutty, deep flavor, then wash it down with beer. Perfection 🤤
Why we went for refills at Eulsam Hof
The draft beer at Eulsam Hof was so cold and refreshing that my friend and I barely talked and just gulped it down, hahaha
Old songs playing, a pleasantly lively crowd, and good beer with hwangtae. It was heaven 💕
We even got one more glass each of Toktok beer and Sulsul beer 😋
I felt the vibe of the old hof (Korean-style pub) I used to go to a lot, and I'm leaving well fed and watered 🍻✨ If you're looking for a great draft beer spot in Euljiro 3-ga, I recommend Eulsam Hof!!
