Hwaseong Korean barbecue with unlimited tacos: Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang
In short
Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang is a butcher restaurant in Namyang, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. We chose our own meat, then enjoyed unlimited tacos and Korean beef-bone ramen with my three children. Verdict: a satisfying choice for a hearty family meat meal.

When you're taking three children out to eat, delicious food matters, of course—but I find myself checking every little thing: Is the restaurant spacious? Will it be comfortable with the kids? Is there something they can eat? This time, I visited Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang Namyang Hwaseong City Hall Main Branch (모락모락정육식당 남양 화성시청 본점) with my three children!
A great Hwaseong Namyang spot for a meat meal with kids

My meat-loving family ate very well here, but above all, it was a Hwaseong City Hall favorite with a spacious, pleasant dining room that didn't feel daunting even with three children.

A spacious, pleasant restaurant even with three children
When you take children to a barbecue place, it can feel even more chaotic when the tables are too close together or the restaurant is crowded, right? ㅜㅜ??

But Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang Namyang Hwaseong City Hall Main Branch was spacious and clean overall, so the moment we walked in, it felt more comfortable than I expected! I kept thinking, this isn't the atmosphere I usually associate with a butcher restaurant, haha. It was so different from what I'd imagined!
Even with all five of us, including my three children, it felt less cramped, and there were other family tables too, so it was easy to relax over our meal 👍🏻 When you're going out for meat with children, flavor matters, but this kind of atmosphere matters more than you might think. I'd like to recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat out with kids in Hwaseong Namyang!

Table-setting fee for adults only, plus the side dishes
We had made a reservation, so we were shown to our table and the basic side dishes came out :-)! There is a ₩5,000 table-setting fee! But they only charge adults! Not even high-school students, haha. Adults only! Haha. (A win for my three children hahaha)
Beef tartare in the basic spread... that is insane!! 👍🏻👍🏻

The self-service bar also had lots of my beloved myeongi namul (pickled wild garlic leaves) ❤️

An ordering system where you choose your own meat
🥩You choose the meat you want and order it yourself! The ordering process wasn't difficult either. First, pick the meat you want from the display and bring it to the counter—that's it! Being able to look over the options and select what we wanted was fun too.
Once you choose your meat and hand it over at the counter, it doesn't come straight to the table raw—they par-grill it first. (The pork is par-grilled.)

Having it come out par-grilled made things so much easier. After bringing it to the table, a staff member even cut it into bite-size pieces for us! Since I had to look after my three children while eating, that was really convenient!

We just cooked the par-grilled meat a little more at the table and ate it right away, so there was less pressure to grill it ourselves and we could enjoy it nice and warm!

While my husband grilled the meat!! I went to get tacos—scampering off!

Unlimited tacos at a barbecue restaurant?
The most eye-catching thing here was the unlimited tacos! Having tacos alongside meat at a barbecue restaurant already felt unusual, but being able to take as much as we wanted was so fascinating. It was nice to enjoy the meat in a different way from simply wrapping it in ssam (leaf wraps).

Putting meat into a taco and adding this and that to suit our tastes made the same meat feel like a whole new dish! With children, everyone can make theirs exactly the way they like, which made it a little more fun than an ordinary barbecue restaurant.

Meat can start to feel a little rich when you keep eating it, but alternating it with tacos gave us much more variety :)

Unlimited Korean beef-bone ramen too
🍜The ramen you can't leave out after meat is unlimited too! I thought only the tacos were unlimited, but ramen as well!! And it was Korean beef-bone ramen!!! After filling up on meat, somehow you always start craving a hot bowl of ramen, right? Haha.

At most barbecue restaurants, you have to order ramen or doenjang jjigae (soybean-paste stew) separately as a meal item, so I liked that we could have as much ramen as we wanted here.
For a large family like ours, the bill can climb quickly once you add this and that, so unlimited tacos and ramen felt like good value too.

Finish the meat with ramen and you've really had a filling meal!

Review-event ice cream for dessert
⭐️If you take part in the review event, they even give you Sangha Farm ice cream!! After a hearty meat meal, cool ice cream for dessert is an especially welcome event for families visiting with children!

My three children always look for dessert after a meal, so I don't know why little events like this make me so happy, haha. Tacos, ramen, then ice cream at the end—surely that is the perfect dining-out course from the children's point of view?
A satisfying choice for family dining in Hwaseong Namyang
The restaurant was spacious and pleasant, so we could eat relatively comfortably with my three children. Along with the meat, we enjoyed unlimited tacos and ramen in lots of ways, and the whole family left full.
We went for meat and properly enjoyed unlimited tacos and unlimited ramen too, then finished with ice cream for dessert!

A Hwaseong City Hall meat restaurant that's great to visit with children like my three! I recommend Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang Namyang Hwaseong City Hall Main Branch!
