Yangju dakgalbi restaurant with its own parking lot: Seorak Makguksu
In short
Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch is a newly opened charcoal dakgalbi (grilled chicken) and makguksu (buckwheat noodle) restaurant on Mansong-ro in Yangju, Gyeonggi. The road out front is under construction, so the entrance takes a moment to find, but the restaurant has its own parking lot; we ordered one portion each of charcoal dakgalbi and soy sauce dakgalbi at 16,000 won apiece, which the staff grilled for us, then finished with mul makguksu and bibim makguksu at 6,000 won each. With golf pros' autographs covering the walls and a spotless new dining room, Seorak Makguksu is an easy pick when you want charcoal dakgalbi in Yangju.

It had been a while since I'd craved charcoal dakgalbi, so while looking around I found out Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi had opened a new branch in Yangju too — so tonight's dinner plan was made instantly, straight to Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch! 💕
Where is Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch, and where do you park?
Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch is at 211 Mansong-ro, 1st floor, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. Hours are 11:00–21:00 (break time 15:00–16:00, last order 20:20), closed every Tuesday. 🚘🚖 Parking is available.
The road right in front of Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch is currently under construction, so finding it can be a little tricky. Still, the sign is visible enough that I managed to loop around and find my way in, and there's a dedicated parking lot right in front, which made driving there really convenient :)

Inside the new Yangju dining room and its golf pro autographs
Since the place is brand new, the interior really stood out for how clean and tidy it looked. It'd be great for a date in Yangju, but it's also spacious enough for groups, making it perfect for a family meal or a gathering too!

There's a golf course nearby, so there were plenty of golf pros' autographs on the walls. Seeing so many signatures from well-known figures even though the place just opened kind of confirms it as a Yangju must-visit, right? 👍

Menu prices and how to order at the table
The menu board is posted large on the wall, so it's easy to take in at a glance,

and ordering is done right at the table via a table-order system, which is convenient. The main menu items are charcoal dakgalbi and soy sauce dakgalbi, mul makguksu, bibim makguksu, plus the dessert makguksu you enjoy after finishing the dakgalbi,
along with side dishes like buckwheat pancake, dumplings, and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), plus drinks and alcohol, and dakgalbi is also available for takeout :)

Note that there's a Naver receipt review event where you can get a buckwheat pancake or a drink ⭐️

What we ordered plus the self-serve side dish bar
What we ordered was
- Charcoal dakgalbi ₩16,000
- Soy sauce dakgalbi ₩16,000
- Dessert mul makguksu ₩6,000
- Dessert bibim makguksu ₩6,000
Dakgalbi can be ordered per single serving, and since we wanted to try both, we ordered one serving of charcoal dakgalbi and one serving of soy sauce dakgalbi haha
Once we ordered, the basic side dishes were set out first.

Extra side dishes are freely available at the self-serve bar, and the mustard, vinegar, sugar, and sauce for the makguksu are set out at the table.

Charcoal dakgalbi and soy sauce dakgalbi, grilled for you by the staff
Ta-da 💕 The dakgalbi comes pre-seared and staff grill it all the way for you, so you can just relax and wait! !

Once it's fully grilled, they arrange it beautifully — half charcoal dakgalbi, half soy sauce dakgalbi haha

Mul makguksu and bibim makguksu to finish the meal
Dessert mul makguksu

I thought a 'dessert' portion would be small, but eaten alongside the dakgalbi it turned out to be quite a lot? 💕 They said to add mustard, vinegar, and sugar to taste for the mul makguksu, and the icy broth with the cold noodles was absolutely perfect for this weather! !

Dessert bibim makguksu

The bibim makguksu came with lettuce, seasoned radish, cucumber, and half a boiled egg, and the sweet-and-tangy mixed sauce had that addictive flavor that made it really delicious :)

Is Seorak Makguksu in Yangju worth the trip?
It was great being able to enjoy both soy sauce and charcoal dakgalbi in one meal, and they said it's made with 100% domestic refrigerated Harim chicken thigh — sure enough, it was tender and moist with no gamey smell at all, delicious even eaten plain 😊😍 We also dipped some into the makguksu here and there, wrapped bites in lettuce, and before we knew it we were completely stuffed... 🤣
The combination of dakgalbi made with domestic chicken thigh and makguksu made from house-kneaded, house-cut noodles was excellent, and paired with friendly service, I left Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch in a great mood 💕 Saving this as my go-to spot whenever I want charcoal dakgalbi and makguksu again! ! If you're looking for a good restaurant in Yangju, or for great charcoal dakgalbi and makguksu, I recommend giving Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yangju Branch a visit 🙏
