Yangju galbi restaurant for a family gathering: Manpo Galbi raw ribs
In short
Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is a charcoal pork galbi restaurant on Songnang-ro in Yangju, Gyeonggi. For a family gathering, the group booked the 2nd-floor room through Naver Reservation and ordered 250g of Korean pork handmade galbi at 19,000 won plus an extra 200g of raw pork galbi, along with yukhoe (beef tartare) and yukjeon (pan-fried beef) side dishes, free Hamhung naengmyeon, and bbeong-twigi (puffed rice) ice cream for dessert. Manpo Galbi handles meat, cold noodles and dessert in one sitting, which is why it stays a Yangju regular.

Manpo Galbi, the Yangju pork galbi spot that serves yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and yukjeon (pan-fried beef) as side dishes.

Manpo Galbi is one of the places that comes to mind whenever I want meat in Yangju!! Every time I visit, the galbi is delicious and I get to have ice cream and naengmyeon along with it, which is always satisfying. This time I thought of it again for a family gathering and went back — here's my review from this latest visit!
Where is Manpo Galbi in Yangju, and is there parking?
Manpo Galbi is on the 1st floor of 65 Songnang-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00. There's a spacious parking lot right in front of the restaurant, which made it easy to visit by car. No need to hunt around for a spot — you can just park right in front and walk in, which is always convenient whenever I come to eat here!!
Booking the 2nd-floor room at Manpo Galbi: what the space is like
Manpo Galbi Yangju has a 1st and 2nd floor, and the tables are spaced generously, so you can eat comfortably without feeling crowded against the next table.
Since we were visiting with several people this time, we booked a 2nd-floor room in advance through Naver Reservation! On weekends, I'd definitely recommend booking ahead.
There's also a self-serve side dish corner!
Manpo Galbi menu and lunch special prices

Manpo Galbi sells a wide range of meat menus, from handmade seasoned galbi to Korean pork raw galbi, LA galbi, and beef short ribs.

On weekdays from 11:00 to 15:00, you can get the lunch special — a handmade galbi set with 250g of pork galbi, naengmyeon, and doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice bowl) — for ₩19,000!
Side dishes at Manpo Galbi, including yukhoe and yukjeon

The side dishes that pair well with meat were laid out neatly, and with so many things to nibble on, we never got bored while grilling!!! And my personal favorite part of Manpo Galbi — yukhoe and yukjeon come out too, so we got to taste a bit of each before the meat even hit the grill. Having yukhoe and yukjeon on the table made the whole spread feel quite generous.
How the 250g Korean pork handmade galbi at 19,000 won tastes

We always order the Korean pork handmade galbi, so we did the same this time!! One serving is ₩19,000.
The seasoning was evenly worked into the meat, so once it hit the charcoal grill, a sweet aroma started wafting up.

Seasoned galbi can sometimes end up tasting too sweet, but here the sweetness didn't overpower and paired well with the meat. Grilled golden brown on the pan, the savory depth of the seasoning came through together with the charcoal aroma, and I kept reaching for more.

It's delicious wrapped in a lettuce ssam or eaten plain, so it was easy to enjoy however you like haha
Pudding-style steamed egg at Manpo Galbi
My sibling loves steamed egg, so we ordered it for every table! True to its name, it really was soft as pudding!
Free Hamhung naengmyeon with any meat order

And there's one menu I never skip when I come to Manpo Galbi. It's the Hamhung naengmyeon (cold noodles)! Order meat and you get naengmyeon for free, which makes it perfect to order either after or while eating the meat haha. With one order per person, you can choose between water naengmyeon and spicy bibim naengmyeon.

This time we had the naengmyeon alongside the meat. The chewy noodles and refreshing cold broth cut right through the richness of the charcoal-grilled meat. Especially with a bite of meat followed by a mouthful of noodles — that combo never fails haha.
Brisket doenjang stew at Manpo Galbi

The brisket doenjang stew from the meal menu was also deeply savory and really delicious — definitely worth trying!!
Adding 200g of Korean pork raw galbi

We were still a little hungry, so we ordered raw galbi too! Watching it grill golden brown made me want to eat it right away. Since raw galbi isn't seasoned, you get to taste the meat's natural flavor fully.

One bite in, it had a subtle, mellow, savory flavor, and the more you chewed, the more juice came through, so it never felt dry. The slight charcoal aroma added even more depth to the meat's flavor! We also grilled some mushrooms and dipped them in ssamjang — so good it made you go 'kkeureul-tteul'!
Dessert at Manpo Galbi: coffee and bbeong-twigi ice cream
After finishing the meal full and happy, we made sure to have dessert too. Along with coffee, there was even bbeong-twigi (puffed rice) ice cream, so we got to enjoy a proper dessert haha.
From meat to naengmyeon to dessert, everything wrapped up in one sitting, so I walked out feeling well fed right to the end haha. If you're in the mood to eat meat and naengmyeon together in Yangju, I think Manpo Galbi is worth a visit!! It's my go-to Yangju galbi spot, so I definitely recommend it lol.
