Bukchon pizza lunch for 3: queue No. 4, cucumber pickles, Low Five
In short
Low Five Anguk (로우파이브 안국) is a casual pizza and Western-style restaurant in Bukchon, Jongno, Seoul, opened after the original became famous in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Three people arrived for a weekday lunch at opening, got queue ticket No. 4 at 11:05 and shared corn pizza, Hot Pot Pesce pasta and avocado kimchi fried rice; Low Five Anguk also brought cucumber pickles on request alongside the standard jalapeño pickles. All three dishes were satisfying, and the corn pizza at Low Five Anguk was the clear standout.

I heard Low Five, which is super hot in Suwon's Haenggung-dong, had opened in Seoul too, so I went for lunch. There's always a wait and the reviews are great, so my expectations were sky high, and sure enough!!!! It was really delicious and I was very satisfied. Let me introduce Low Five Anguk, a Bukchon pizza place worth knowing.
Where is Low Five Anguk in Bukchon?

Low Five Anguk is a 3-minute walk from Anguk Station Exit 2, at the start of the alley right across from the Constitutional Court. It's a standalone one-story building, and it feels like a hot spot from the entrance!!

Low Five Anguk wait: what time are queue tickets handed out?

Low Five Anguk doesn't take reservations. Queue tickets are handed out at 11:05 a.m. and 4:35 p.m. I'd heard the wait is long, so I went right at opening for a weekday lunch.
I got there around 11:05 and received queue No. 4. I'd checked the menu beforehand, so I ordered right away, and the food came out quickly after we sat down.

Low Five Anguk atmosphere and seating

Low Five Anguk is a casual restaurant with an American vibe (?). It's reeeally spacious and pleasant! There were tables for 2, 3, 4 and 6 people, and the whole place felt warm.

Once weekday lunch opened, there were tons of customers. The place is big, so it's not that there were no seats, but food takes a while to come out, so I recommend arriving at 11:05 and getting a queue ticket early.
What to order for 3 people: pizza, pasta and fried rice

Corn pizza, Hot Pot Pesce pasta and avocado kimchi fried rice were plenty to fill three people. Jalapeño pickles come by default, and if you ask, they'll bring cucumber pickles too!
Avocado kimchi fried rice (₩14,000)

Low Five's avocado kimchi fried rice looks so pretty. It has fluffy, tasty fried rice, soft scrambled eggs and half a well-ripened avocado. On top is nutty, funky-smelling cheese, so it's a combo that feels familiar yet exotic. It was a dish everyone can enjoy, no love-it-or-hate-it!
Corn pizza (₩25,000)

The corn pizza, Low Five's signature, was the best, as expected!! The dough was chewy and really good, and the toppings, what is going on here!! There's cheese but it isn't greasy, it just melts into your mouth, and it was seriously delicious!!! The popping corn was so nutty and sweet.

The main toppings on the corn pizza are white truffle cream, bacon, chili shrimp, butter seasoning and grilled corn. It was honestly the most I've enjoyed a pizza in a long time!! I think I'll be craving this again!!
Is the Hot Pot Pesce pasta very spicy?

Hot Pot Pesce pasta is a tomato pasta loaded with fresh seafood. Mussels, clams, shrimp and squid are really generous. And because of all that seafood, the sauce tasted refreshing and delicious!!

The seafood and tomato are simmered long, so it has deep savory flavor, and there's so much broth that you can spoon it up like soup, which I loved!! It's also seriously hot and spicy, and delicious. Lots of garlic goes in too, so there's a subtle sweetness that was nice. Not recommended for anyone who can't handle spice. It's spicy!!
Low Five Anguk verdict: is the weekday lunch worth it?

I had big expectations, and Low Five Anguk was even more delicious than I hoped!! Now I get why there are waits, opening-time lines and so much popularity. Everything was tasty, but the corn pizza especially is amazing!!
The atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. Overall I was satisfied with everything. For a date, family gathering, group event or company dinner, I think you'll be really happy here. If you're looking for a great Bukchon pizza place, I strongly recommend Low Five Anguk!!
