I was trying to figure out where to take my kid on a weekend, and ended up at La Cuesta Gwangju. It was much bigger than I'd expected, so I was already excited the moment I walked in. If you're looking for a large café in Gonjiam, Gyeonggi Gwangju, this is definitely one worth a visit.

Parking at La Cuesta in Gonjiam: is there room on weekends?

The first thing I loved about La Cuesta Gwangju was the parking. The lot is really spacious, so even on a weekend I had no trouble parking. Easy parking matters a lot when you're moving around with a kid, and that part was really satisfying.

From the entrance onward, La Cuesta had flowing water and gorgeous landscaping. It felt less like a city café and more like arriving at a small resort. There were plenty of good photo spots too, great for family or couple pictures.

Looking around the store, everything felt well managed. The interior was kept clean and tables were cleared quickly, so I could spend time there comfortably.

This was the part I liked most about visiting La Cuesta with my kid. There was a space set up for drawing with colored pencils ready to go, and they run a monthly drawing event too. My kid didn't get bored waiting for drinks and had a great time, which as a parent was really nice. Thanks to this kind of thoughtful touch, I can see why so many families visit.

Outdoor terraces and the large indoor seating at La Cuesta

The outdoor space was really well put together too. With several terraces set up, it would be great to sit outside with coffee on a nice day. The surroundings were lush and green, perfect for unwinding, and I imagine it gets especially popular in fall or spring.

The interior was very spacious too. Tables were spaced well apart so it never felt cramped, and true to a large café, there was a variety of seating — good for a solo visit or comfortable for family and group gatherings.

Every piece of bread looked delicious, and there was a wide range of cakes and desserts too, great alongside coffee. Next time I'd like to try the brunch menu as well.

Above all, what I appreciated most was the care taken for kids. It's not just a big café — it's clearly set up with elements kids can enjoy and an environment where families can stay comfortably. They also seem to run events regularly, so I imagine there'll be something new to enjoy on the next visit too.

I'd definitely recommend ordering the signature La Cuesta latte. It was creamy and sweet — really delicious.
