I was looking for a place to eat meat in Jongno, Daegu, so I dropped by Jangjak Saenggalbi Jongno Main Branch😋

I could see tasty-looking menu items right from the entrance, so I got really excited~~🤤

What are the interior and the wait like?
The interior is seriously upscale and pretty. The space is spread nicely over the 1st and 2nd floors, so it's perfect for company dinners, get-togethers and dates too!!
The waiting area is set up comfortably, which I liked✨ Maybe because it's a well-known Jongno, Daegu spot, but a wait was a must just after 6 pm!! That's what a popular restaurant looks like~~👍👍👍👍👍

What side dishes (banchan) come out?
The restaurant first set out a neat spread of side dishes (banchan). Everything looked so good that my mouth was watering, haha.
Personally, the pickles made from chopped perilla leaves were sooo good~ And there were small plates and a tasty combination of dipping sauces too~~😋

Do staff grill the signature brick-cut galbi for you?
I ordered the signature brick-cut fresh galbi (벽돌생갈비)~!! Doesn't the meat look great, in both quality and color? I couldn't wait to grill and eat it 😎

The best thing here is that the staff grill the galbi for you!! They grilled it golden brown, so I ate comfortably and happily 💯💯💯💯💯

The meat was really thick and the portion was generous~!! Thick and tender, so delicious 🥓👍

For my first bite I dipped it in the soy sauce dip. The meat was so tender and tasty!! No wonder the brick-cut galbi is the signature😊

In what order should you eat the galbi with the side dishes?
After the first bite with the soy dip, I ate the galbi with the side dishes one by one. Here is the order I recommend.
- Eat the galbi with the radish salad (musaengchae).
- Eat the galbi with the lettuce geotjeori (fresh-tossed lettuce salad).
- Eat the galbi with the perilla-leaf pickles (kkaennip jangajji).
Eat in this order and it's SO good~! Everyone!!! Every side dish here is delicious, so please~~ try each one with the meat🩷🩷🩷

You can't skip a glass of beer with something this good, right~??🍻 Beer went so well with the tender, quality galbi that it just kept going down😝😝

And you all know the meat stuck to the bone is the really tasty part, right??😍 Definitely pick it up by hand and tear into it~~

Do you get a free steamed dish and doenjang stew?
While eating the meat, they brought out a steamed dish as a free service!! Wow~~ Doesn't the free dish look amazing, haha? Vegetables, thin-sliced beef brisket, and plump shrimp too🦐

And after good meat, you can't leave out spicy doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and rice, right?? Haha. The stew was packed with ingredients and perfectly seasoned!! So tasty that I finished a bowl of rice in no time✌️
