Shashlik Masan Branch is a riverview charcoal shashlik restaurant on Deokdong-nam 1-gil in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon. Two people shared the basic pork shashlik with a chicken thigh half add-on, followed by cheese fried rice and watermelon punch. The meat was good, but the outdoor bonfire is what stuck in memory longest.
Yun Sikdang is a Korean set meal (hanjeongsik) restaurant in Changdong-Bukseong-ro, Changwon. On a Sunday lunch before a Changdong date, the writer ordered the grilled bulgogi set meal for ₩16,000 per person, and the table filled up with seasoned crab, japchae, abalone in soy sauce (jeonbokjang), grilled mackerel, kimchi pancake, seasoned squid, and a soybean stew with crab, with two refills of lettuce wraps. If you love eating lots of different things at one table, this is a place where the price feels almost unfair.
