Today's stop is Dalke in Tanbang-dong, Daejeon, a place famous for sweet desserts. The cozy mood and the tempting desserts had me excited before I even walked in. If you're stopping by Sungsimdang, this is a nice café to visit afterwards.

What is the plant-filled interior like?
The first thing you notice is the greenery everywhere. Thanks to the plant-style interior (plantерior, as Koreans call it), it feels like a small café in the forest, a healing spot where you can take a break in the middle of the city. Soft lighting and warm wood tones add a snug feel, and it's a great place to relax over dessert and coffee. It's quiet and comfortable, so it suits a date as well as a relaxed solo visit.

The exterior is clean yet cute, and stands out even from a distance. I liked the comfortable feel of the warm interior. From right outside the door you get that cozy dessert-shop vibe, so it's a great café for dates haha.

What we ordered: fruit pavlova, coffee and blueberry ade
You can try all kinds of handmade desserts here, so it's good for gifts too! The pavlova is the famous item, so we ordered a coffee, a blueberry ade and a fruit pavlova.

How does Dalke's fruit pavlova taste?
The pavlova is piled with fresh fruit, and that natural tartness and sweetness melts your stress away. Next time I want to try the choco banana haha. The sweetness and the fresh fruit blend together harmoniously for a different kind of flavor. If you want to taste several fruits at once, the fruit mix is a good choice. In season there's also a pavlova with peach and plum, so apparently there's a new flavor every season. It's so pretty that it's great for photos too. Almost too pretty to eat..

If you want fresh fruit and handmade pavlova, do visit Dalke Dessert in Tanbang-dong. A dessert that's a joy for the eyes and satisfying to eat! I really recommend trying the handmade pavlova, which delivers on both taste and looks 😋
