What is Orange Bagel in Suwon like, and is parking easy?

Orange Bagel (오렌지베이글) is a large bagel café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, and the big parking lot right in front of its standalone building means no parking worries. It's one of the places I always stop by when I have errands nearby, which also means I've been here a lot. There must be a reason for that, right?

The big sign gives off such strong New York vibes that it feels like being in the US, and it catches your eye right from the road. The red brick exterior is exotic and gives you a sense of how big the place is. There are even waiting chairs by the entrance. Shall we head inside?

In front of it, bagel varieties stretch out endlessly.

Shall we line a tray with parchment paper and start picking? The soup, which you can have hot alongside a bagel, looks tempting too. And the bagels look so moist.

Bagels that make your mouth water just by looking at them are therapy every single time. They say Orange Bagel makes everything on the menu with sincere care, starting from the early morning of that day.

Orange Bagel's first-floor goods, seating and self bar

Next to the counter at Orange Bagel there are all sorts of goods, decorated in a pretty orange glow to match the Orange Bagel image. They're fun to look at.

There's seating on one side of the first-floor hall. You could sit cozily by the window, or in a group on the sofa seats. The self bar has water, cups and napkins, and I spotted a mini oven so you can warm your food. The tomato ketchup candles are gathered together, and they double as interior decor.

The second floor of Orange Bagel has tile-topped group tables, open window seats, a private space and terrace seats. There's a staircase up, and the first thing you meet on the second floor is the stylish tile group seating.

With so many options, it's fun to pick a seat to your taste. Even the entrance to the restroom is classic-looking.

The box I got after ordering four bagels is so pretty that I think anyone receiving it as a gift would be thrilled.

Go up another staircase from the second floor of Orange Bagel and you reach an open rooftop. Open the door and there it is, wide open. In weather as nice as lately, the rooftop must be hugely popular. The big sign that will light it up at night looks stylish too.

Four bagels to go from Orange Bagel

The bagels I picked at Orange Bagel were crab shrimp, sweet pumpkin, potato and corn. There were so many delicious options that I agonized for a while before choosing these four hearty ones. So pretty, right? They look almost like display models.

I meant to taste one there, but I'd just had lunch and was full, so I got them to go. Even the shopping bag is pretty, designed like an English-language newspaper cover.

Inside is a sheet of paper like a letter, and its front cover, printed with the Orange Bagel building, is charming already. It tells the story of Orange Bagel in detail, and after reading it I felt even more attached to the place. The back is also in English, so foreign visitors should have no trouble. I was touched that every container is even stamped with a name.

How did the Orange Bagel takeout bagels taste?

I cut two of the bagels I took home from Orange Bagel and shared them with my husband, and as expected they were generous and so delicious. There's a reason I always stop by whenever I'm near here, haha. Thanks to them, I happily cleared dinner today too.

Orange Bagel has a huge parking lot so you needn't worry about parking, a standalone three-story building with an open rooftop, and every part from the New York-style exterior to the interior is charming.

I didn't used to enjoy bagels much, but since discovering Orange Bagel I've fallen in love with them. Fresh, moist, chewy bagels baked from early morning, plus endless varieties in special colors, make it fun to pick something different every visit. And you can have signature drinks, tea and coffee with them, which is just perfect.
