How did we end up at Benetto, a dessert café near Ulsan City Hall?

Benetto is a café in Sinjeong-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, right next to Ulsan City Hall. It had been a while since my friends and I got together, and we wondered what to do in Ulsan. We wanted to eat something good and go to a pretty café, so I searched for cafés near City Hall in Sinjeong-dong and found this one. Benetto has a wood interior that feels warm and comfortable, and people say it's a sandwich hotspot.

So honestly, we went for the sandwiches, but we were so full that we skipped them and only had dessert. And the Basque cheesecake was so good! It melts in your mouth, the egg tart was great too, and the coffee was the real deal. It was such a satisfying place, so here's my Benetto visit.

Benetto is open 08:00–22:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00–17:00 on Saturday, and it's closed every Sunday. For parking, just use the City Hall parking lot right next door.

What is the interior of Benetto like?

The warm wood interior at Benetto is really pretty. It was busy when we arrived, so I took these photos later, after the other customers had left. The interior feels so warm and lovely.

What did we order at Benetto?

For drinks we got two iced Americanos and one vanilla bean latte. The sandwiches on the menu looked really good, especially the Mexican beef grill sandwich, which I'm definitely trying next time.

And at a dessert café, how could we not order dessert? Even full, we felt we had to have it. The Basque cheesecake in particular looked like the real deal. We ordered one Basque cheesecake and one egg tart.

Ah... the sandwiches looked so good. But we had stuffed ourselves with baeksuk (whole chicken soup) that day, so we boldly skipped them! Next time I plan to get them to go.

Benetto's self-service corner

Next to the counter there's a self-service corner with water, syrup, tissues and wet wipes, everything you need.

Here's everything we ordered at Benetto: the iced Americano, vanilla bean latte, Basque cheesecake, egg tart, and the single-serve bingsu (shaved ice dessert) we added at the end.

The desserts at Benetto are seriously good. I thought it was a sandwich place, but it turns out it's a dessert place!

How is Benetto's single-serve bingsu?

Benetto's single-serve bingsu is truly one portion, so it's small, and it's an unusual round shape. That's why I ordered it, and it turns out those round balls are the milk ice.

There's oatmeal on top of the milk ice, with rice cake and red bean alongside. Ah, the size is compact, the taste is not too heavy for one person, and it was so good!

How are Benetto's Basque cheesecake and egg tart?

I've said it many times already, but Benetto's Basque cheesecake is really good. The cream is so rich that the three of us made eye contact and were all startled while eating it. The egg tart is soft and really good too.

How are Benetto's coffee and vanilla bean latte?

The coffee at Benetto is really good. Two of my friends drank the iced Americano and exclaimed, "Wow, this place's coffee is really good."

I hadn't had a vanilla bean latte in a while and ordered one, and it was honestly way better than most of the big chain ones. It's not just a vanilla latte but one made with real vanilla bean, so it was richer and tastier, and I was very happy with it.

Is Benetto a good dessert café near Ulsan City Hall?

The coffee, the desserts and the bingsu were all delicious, everything we ordered was great, and we were very satisfied. It also looked like a pretty good place to visit alone. If you're looking for a pretty café near Ulsan City Hall, definitely try Benetto. The drinks and desserts are really good.
