Spicy bolognese pasta at a Haeundae restaurant in Busan: Smith's Farm

In short

Smith's Farm is a farm-themed Western restaurant near Dongbaek Station in Haeundae, Busan, open daily from 11:00 to 22:00 with no break time. On this repeat visit the order was stone octopus steak, romaine salad and bolognese pasta made spicy, with Smith's November ade on the side; the heat suited Korean palates and the octopus stayed tender rather than chewy. With same-day booking through Naver and a parking lot right beside the building, Smith's Farm works well even for a last-minute get-together.

Today I'm bringing you a repeat visit to Smith's Farm, a Haeundae Western restaurant I'd been dying to go back to ever since my first visit blew me away.

Where is Smith's Farm, what are the hours, and is there parking?

Smith's Farm sits near Dongbaek Station in Haeundae, open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM with no closed days and no break time. On top of that, it has a parking lot — a rare find in Haeundae — right next to the building, so it's easy to use.

Inside Smith's Farm: seating and same-day Naver booking

Unlike its exterior, the inside of Smith's Farm is really spacious, with big tables and generous spacing between seats, making for a comfortable meal. I'd been wanting to sit at the round table in the photo on the left — and since I booked ahead, we lucked into a wide table just for two!

One of the most convenient things about this Haeundae Western restaurant is that same-day reservations are possible. No special app needed — you can book easily through Naver, which everyone already uses. Even for last-minute important meetings, gatherings, or dinners, it makes things feel like you planned well in advance.

What we ordered at Smith's Farm this time

On my first visit I ordered the cream cheese gnocchi, scallop oil pasta, and stone octopus steak, but it looks like the scallops have since been swapped for shrimp! This time I went with the stone octopus steak I loved before, plus a romaine salad and spicy bolognese pasta. The gnocchi was really good too, but I was already pretty full that day, so I chose lighter options.

Smith's November ade

Since I can't drink alcohol, I ordered Smith's November ade to go with the food, and the strong cinnamon aroma cleared my palate perfectly between bites. It was great for setting the mood! That bag in the back is the bill, and it's honestly so cute — I love how committed they are to this concept.

Stone octopus steak served with three sauces

The stone octopus steak, which I loved on my first visit too, could be called Smith's signature dish. It comes with grilled garnish, wasabi mayo, wasabi, and a spicy chipotle sauce.

The octopus at this Haeundae Western restaurant is gently boiled in soy sauce — you can tell just from the knife cuts that it's not tough at all, and slices cleanly.

Dipped in the carrot purée, the salty octopus was such a perfect match. Same as last time, my takeaway today was: this really tastes like premium odari (dried squid)!

The wasabi and wasabi mayo both went well with it too, but my personal pick is the chipotle mayo. It tames the salty octopus with a light kick of spice and smoothness — an absolutely perfect pairing.

Romaine salad served as a whole head

Next up, the romaine salad. It was my first time seeing romaine served as a whole head — so cool! The vegetables were really fresh, and the special mayo sauce and chili oil on top were the kicker. Definitely order either the napa cabbage or the romaine salad — don't skip it.

Spicy bolognese pasta: how hot is it really?

I don't usually order tomato-based pastas, but lately I've been into spicy pasta, so I gave this bolognese a try.

Bolognese pasta ordered spicy

Usually even when you order it spicy, it's just a bit hotter than a regular tomato pasta — but ordering it as 'spicy' here gave exactly the level of heat Koreans love, and it was so good.

A plate of ragu pasta loaded with meat toppings

It was spicy but loaded with toppings too, the kind of flavor that makes you crave rice. It's a ragu pasta, packed with meat, and the texture of the vegetables was so good that I kept digging in for more toppings — so much for 'not hungry.'

The waiting zone, carrot pens and full farm-theme commitment

Even the waiting zone and checkout counter are decorated to feel like a farm, keeping the good mood going right to the end. On the way out, they handed out cute carrot-shaped pens to all the women with a sweet line about giving them 'only to pretty people' — I absolutely love how fully they commit to the concept.

Both the concept and the food were great at this Haeundae Western restaurant favorite, Smith's Farm. Next time, I'll come with an empty stomach and check off the lunch menu items I haven't tried yet!
