Hapjeong Exit 2 café for light drip and mild tiramisu: Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong is a specialty roastery café on Yanghwa-ro 7-gil in Mapo, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 2. The writer already had good memories of the Yeonnam branch and stopped by Central Site Hapjeong for the first time after dinner in Hapjeong, trying a Guatemala and an Ethiopia drip coffee with the classic tiramisu. Verdict: the light, clean drip coffee paired well with the plain, not-too-sweet tiramisu.

Why visit Central Site Hapjeong after dinner?
I went to Central Site Hapjeong while looking for a good café to relax in after dinner near Hapjeong. I'd visited the Yeonnam branch once and have really good memories of it, so this time I decided to try the Hapjeong branch. It was my first time here, haha.

How is drip coffee served at Central Site Hapjeong?

Our 2 drip coffees and the classic tiramisu arrived! The drip coffee comes in a rocks glass with a big square ice cube, along with a card listing each bean's origin and tasting notes, which made drinking it more fun because you know what you're having.

How do the Guatemala and Ethiopia hand drips taste?
We ordered a Guatemala and an Ethiopia single-origin drip coffee. Both cups were light overall: not strong, clean and thin-bodied.

Guatemala Entre Volcanes washed
Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed is made from beans grown by smallholder farmers in the Antigua region of Guatemala. Rather than heavy or bitter, it was subtly nutty with a smooth finish. It was brewed light, an easy everyday type that doesn't feel heavy.
Ethiopia Nordic Approach Yirgacheffe Chelbesa washed
Ethiopia Chelbesa Washed uses beans from the Chelbesa area of Gedeo Zone, Ethiopia, with a fresh aroma and gentle acidity. It was also on the light side, so instead of flashy flavors hitting hard, it was refreshing and easy to drink like tea.

Is the Central Site classic tiramisu very sweet?
The classic tiramisu at Central Site Hapjeong isn't strongly sweet like a typical tiramisu. What stood out was its mild, plain, clean taste with nothing harsh. Served with the coffee, it looked homemade from the first glance: a big cut slice with plenty of dark chocolate shavings scattered on top.
Verdict: after Yeonnam, Central Site Hapjeong is a hit too

After Yeonnam, the Hapjeong visit was a success too! The specialty hand drip coffees were light and clean and easy to drink, and the classic tiramisu wasn't too sweet, just mild and plain, so I enjoyed it to the last bite. The combination was really great.
