Jeju indoor theme park on a day-one morning with kids: Theme Park Toon
In short
Theme Park Toon is an indoor media theme park on Eunsu-gil in Jeju City, next to Arboretum Theme Park. On the first day of a Jeju summer holiday, the writer visited Theme Park Toon with two kids around 11 a.m. and followed the staff-recommended route: floor 1 (AI cartoon photo zone and mirrored light space), then floor 3 (interactive activities and character motion capture), then floor 2 (souvenir shop and jumping game). Theme Park Toon is a good indoor stop for a quiet morning when your flight lands early.

Today's review from Lorobly is Theme Park Toon, a Jeju spot for families that I strongly recommend, and where we went on the first day of our Jeju summer holiday!
Theme Park Toon is an indoor attraction that hasn't been open long, but photos and videos of it keep popping up on social media lately, so I really wanted to go. If you get off your plane early, I recommend stopping by. Going early means fewer people, so you can try more of the activities. We got there around 11 a.m. that day, I think.

Theme Park Toon sits right next to Arboretum Theme Park in Jeju City! The hours are above, but they may change, so it's best to check the Theme Park Toon website or call before you go!
Tickets, discounts and events
You can buy tickets easily from a machine. If you have a small child (36 months and under) or qualify for a discount, there's a staff member there, so just show your proof and get the discount!

There was a summer event on when I visited. Events change with the season, so it's a good idea to check the website.

Where to park
You can park in the lot in front of the building, and the attached Arboretum Night Market lot works too. The parking ticket prints as a QR code when you print your entry ticket, so keep it safe and be sure to scan it when you leave.

Floor 1: AI cartoon photo zone and the mirror space
After printing your ticket and heading in, you see the wide, cool-looking first floor. There's a snack corner here too, and next to the stairs there's a department-store-style spot selling several kinds of jelly by weight.

Right as you enter the first floor, there was the most exciting and fun spot: a space that turns your photo into an AI cartoon character. This was the best one, honestly! You take a photo with the photo machine up there, and the picture comes up on the wall in cartoon style. The kids tried it, and my husband and I did too. It made us look more like ourselves than I expected, so we laughed a lot and ended up with some photos worth keeping. It's not just fun for kids, adults get excited too.
A staff member was there and explained how to make the most of Theme Park Toon and the route to take, which made the visit even more enjoyable. So kind!!
Past the photo-transformation space there's also a pretty space made of mirrors and light. Our second child loved it so much (got so excited that she danced, which is a top secret, shh). It's great for photos and nice and cool to enjoy.

Floor 3: interactive activities and character motion capture
The staff member explained the route of floor 1, then floor 3, then floor 2, so we went straight up to the third floor. Floor 3 has exhibition halls including an artists' gallery, interactive activities and motion capture.

The interactive area was the kids' favorite. The kids color in four kinds of animals and send them off, and then the animal friends they drew show up on the screen behind. Touch them and they go whoosh and bounce up! Check the photos below~~

And in the character motion capture hall, when you move in front of the screen, a character matched to one person is created and moves along with you. Kids and adults alike are bound to have fun here, right~? Go ahead and bust a trendy dance move with your kids. Seeing yourselves on screen as a character motion made us giggle nonstop.
Bread Barbershop set and photo spots
There are lots of photo spots the kids will love all along the way!

There was also an exhibition hall like a film set for Bread Barbershop (a cartoon the kids know)! Good stuff. Colorful photos, so pretty, right? Beyond Bread Barbershop, scenes from many webtoons and cartoons are recreated for real, so you almost feel like the hero of those works.

Floor 2: souvenir shop, jumping game and punch game
After enjoying floor 3, we went down to floor 2, where there's a souvenir shop~ There are lots of souvenirs that adults would like as well as kids, so grabbing one might be nice. Prices didn't seem expensive compared with other places.

There was also a space where kids can play a game by jumping (the catch: this may make the kids not want to leave).

There was also a punch game that adults love, and you could feel that this is a place where kids enjoy it their way and adults enjoy it theirs.

Theme Park Toon overall verdict
There were so many more exhibition halls than the ones in my photos. People who love cartoons and characters will enjoy it even more. In spaces themed around all kinds of characters, you don't just look at plain displays, you get an immersive exhibition built from media, light and spatial design!!
