Cartoon theme park in Jeju, drawing zone till closing: Theme Park Toon
In short
Theme Park Toon is a cartoon-themed indoor exhibition and experience center next to Halla Arboretum in Jeju City. On a hot summer day with her daughter, the writer went from the AI photo transformation on floor 1 to the punch machine and mirror room on floor 2 and the drawing zone and Bread Barbershop space on floor 3, staying until closing time in cool air conditioning. Theme Park Toon is a recommended indoor stop in Jeju for families who love cartoons.

Looking for a good indoor course to visit with your kid during a scorching summer trip to Jeju? Let me introduce a great place for kids in Jeju where you can step right into a cartoon world: "Theme Park Toon".
Location and parking for Theme Park Toon, next to Halla Arboretum
Theme Park Toon is located at 69 Eunsu-gil, Jeju-si, near Halla Arboretum. You can park at the Arboretum night market lot or the Arboretum Theme Park lot right in front.

There's also the Arboretum-gil night market right next door, so if you're traveling Jeju with kids, this is a place where you can combine the arboretum and the night market into one course — I'd recommend it as a Jeju kids' itinerary.
Where to park?
If you're planning to visit the arboretum night market too, you can park at the night market lot, or use the Arboretum Theme Park lot right in front. The lot was spacious, so parking was easy.
They give you a parking voucher at ticketing, so make sure to grab it so you don't end up paying unnecessarily.

Floor 1 exhibits and experiences: AI photo transformation and media art
Time to finally go in. At the entrance, we're greeted by Hong Gil-dong (?) — a figure more familiar to dad than to my daughter, haha.

Once you buy your ticket and go in, it really feels like stepping into a cartoon world. It was a bit dark, so my daughter got a little startled 😅. Past the dark entrance, you step into a world welcomed by various cartoon characters. The signboard a dog is holding even displays a welcome message that updates right as you arrive.
To the right were the restroom, café, and a T-shirt shop, and to the left was the entrance to the floor 1 exhibit and experience zone. I didn't manage to capture it in a photo, but there's a staff member here who's a face-painting master!
On floor 1, various cartoon posters are on display, and there's a space where you can take a photo that gets converted into an AI image and displayed on the wall. A very energetic staff member kindly explained how to pose for a good photo. (She was such a power-E that this power-I shrunk a bit... haha)

Besides the poster exhibit, there was a 360-degree media art display where you can meet various characters, and an exhibit inside an endless mirror space where characters move within the reflections. My daughter loved dancing along with the characters and matching hands with them.

Floor 2 goods shop and arcade experiences, mirror room
Going up to floor 2, there was a goods shop and a space with various arcade-style experiences.

We ran around excitedly stepping on floor tiles, made our own character, and had a punch machine contest to compare scores.

There was also a photo booth where you could turn photos taken with the characters into a T-shirt.
You could also take a photo with a gorilla, though my daughter thought it was a real gorilla and was too nervous to get close... 😂
There was a small room, and when we went in, we found a space where the ceiling, floor, and walls were all mirrors. Looking down at the floor was a little nerve-wracking since it felt like you might fall, but dancing with the characters made it fun.
Floor 3 XR and drawing zone, my daughter's favorite space
After finishing our look around, we headed up to floor 3. This turned out to be the floor kids seem to love most. There was an XR experience, an interactive zone, and an exhibit space where you could step right into a cartoon.

The drawing zone was where we stayed longest! You color a character on a touchscreen and then meet your moving character on the wall. Touch it and it zooms up into the sky, then floats back down on a balloon.
Mom and daughter both drew such cute characters that I was smiling watching them — then dad gave it a try too. Sorry....
Right next to it was a space that recognized your motions and had cartoon characters copy your movements. It was pretty cute and fun, so my daughter, my wife, and I all danced along happily.

The highlight: the Bread Barbershop space you can step right into
Now! We moved to the space my daughter had been most looking forward to. It's an exhibit space where you can step directly into a cartoon world, and I think it might be the highlight of Theme Park Toon as a place for kids in Jeju.
We got to experience the space of the animal friends I'd often seen on Instagram, and also a space that recreated Bread Barbershop, a cartoon my daughter really loves, in full detail.

Bread Barbershop was decorated in such fine detail that it was surprising, and my daughter looked all around, chatting about the characters, having a really great time.

I noticed everyone made sure to take photos here, and sit down to rest and look around a while before leaving.

There was also a variety of webtoons and even cartoons that dad used to watch. And it was fascinating to see genuinely old-school cartoon characters too.

Looking around until closing time — how was it as a summer indoor escape?
We took photos with the characters and had a fun time looking around everywhere. Time flew by as we explored.
We got so absorbed that we ended up staying until closing time and were the last ones out. The air conditioning was blasting the whole time, so we came out having enjoyed a really cool, comfortable visit.
That power-E staff member kept her energy up all the way to the end, even taking a family photo for us at the very last moment... 😁
On hot summer days it's always a struggle figuring out where to take the kids indoors — but if you're a cartoon-loving family, I'd recommend Theme Park Toon, a place for kids in Jeju where you can step right into a cartoon world!
