I arrived a bit earlier than my reservation, and the staff greeted me warmly and brought me rooibos tea first!

I was thirsty, so it was refreshing and delicious!

I waited while reading the info booklet! Both the appointment before and after mine seemed fully booked haha. This is the busiest scalp center I've ever seen.

One director from consultation to finish

Right on time, the director began the consultation herself! What I liked most about Haru Dupi was that—

She told me sebum production was high, possibly due to improper cleansing, and that I wasn't shampooing properly. Also, though I'd been told elsewhere that I had seborrheic and inflammatory scalp, the director—who has years of expertise—said that wasn't the case, and explained my scalp condition passionately in a way that was easy to understand!

They say scalp care needs to be consistent! Apparently even celebrities these days are serious about scalp care.

I put on a gown and went in for the care. Consultation, care, and finishing took about 1 hour 50 minutes total. (Parking is really generous here—top marks for hospitality.)

This is the treatment room! The director does the full care herself, and honestly I thought I was at a massage shop lol. She really worked out my whole body, and I was going 'ugh, ugh' from how good it felt. Her hand pressure was no joke—she really let me know the care had started, haha.

Why psoriasis scalp gets a scalp pack and steam instead of scaling

Since I have psoriasis scalp, she said scaling wasn't recommended, so she applied a scalp pack and did steam treatment instead.

She even gave me a warm heat pack, and I got so drowsy haha. She applied a bunch of things that were good for my scalp! I don't think I've ever gotten this sleepy during a scalp treatment... I could feel myself dozing off.

Even the shampoo... the massage was seriously so satisfying... I think I'll be thinking about the director's hands for a while lol. She was funny too, so we chatted the whole time during the care! The ending therapy was completed as well!

Before and after: how the flaking and sebum changed

She showed me a before-and-after comparison after the care! The keratin buildup and the inflamed, damaged areas had clearly improved, and the sebum had completely disappeared, haha. She gave me a lot of good advice on scalp care and lifestyle habits, and I really intend to follow it! I think I most need to work on blood circulation, sleep, immunity, and eating habits. She emphasized circulation and stretching no matter where I've gone for scalp care, so I really need to put in the effort with stretching.
