Do you like pizza? I'm not that into delivery pizza, I prefer eating it at a restaurant. So today's story is about a place I'd always told myself I had to visit, already super famous as a Hongdae pizza favorite: Pizza Never Sleeps in Hapjeong!
Pizza Never Sleeps Hapjeong-Sangsu: location and basic info
Pizza Never Sleeps Hapjeong-Sangsu (피자네버슬립스 합정상수점) is at 73 Yanghwa-ro 6-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and it's open 12:00-23:00. You can book through Naver, there's a restroom inside, and there's no parking, so you'll need to pay to park at the Hapjeong 1 public parking lot.
It's about a 6-minute walk from Hapjeong Station. We walked over from Hongik Univ. Station, and it's an easy walk from Sangsu Station too!
What's the atmosphere inside Pizza Never Sleeps like?
It's on the 2nd floor, so you take the elevator up and the restaurant is right there.

We went for the window seats! When we sat down, they pulled the blinds for us! So sweet,,
Pizza Never Sleeps menu and ordering: regular vs large
We ordered a half-and-half regular (double pepperoni and potato) for ₩30,500, a Never Sleeps Bowl for ₩12,500, and a Zero Coke for ₩3,000.
(At first I was going to order a half-and-half large, but the staff member warned us it's huge, haha. After some thought we went with a regular plus one side, and if we'd ordered the large it would have been a disaster, haha. Thank you, staff, you're so kind!🥹)
You can grab latex gloves and wet wipes yourself. I took gloves, haha~
The basic setup is sauce, jalapeños and even kimchi! The pizza is totally American-style, so getting kimchi with it feels kind of new and nice.
Is the regular size at Pizza Never Sleeps enough for two?
After a short wait, the pizza and the Never Sleeps Bowl came out! Look at that, what is going on,, I'd actually considered trying another new menu item, but I'd always wanted to try this pepperoni and potato combo after seeing how it looks, so I ordered it, and I'm so glad I did.
Even the regular is pretty big here! It felt just a tiny bit smaller than a typical large?? If they'd called it a large I'd have believed it,, and that's because even the regular has 8 slices,, if the staff hadn't talked me out of the large, what would we have done,, haha. And since it was just two women, we couldn't even finish the regular and took the rest to go, haha.

Double pepperoni pizza
Pizza Never Sleeps has plain pepperoni and double pepperoni. Of course we had to go double, right? (piggy logic) The double pepperoni tasted exactly like the ideal pepperoni pizza you imagine! Thin, crispy, tasty dough with salty pepperoni is a can't-go-wrong combo,,
Dipping it in the sauce they give you is delicious too!
Potato pizza with fries spilled all over
Next, the potato pizza I was most excited about!!! Did they actually dump fries on it..? My friend and I were saying each slice has a whole serving of fries on it, haha. I'd been addicted to fries lately, and I got properly cured.
The white sauce tastes kind of like ranch?
The potato pizza is sweet and salty, so it went perfectly with the slightly spicy red sauce. I was really satisfied with the potato pizza, so I highly recommend making half of your pizza potato!!
See how many fries are piled on?? I'm a total fries lover and had been saying I wanted fries every day lately, so this was amazing,, haha. And with the gloves you can eat it by hand! When you start to get a little tired of it, eat a jalapeño!
What does the Never Sleeps Bowl taste like?
The Never Sleeps Bowl is a side dish packed full of mac and cheese (₩12,500). I'd originally planned to get mac and cheese on the pizza, but I wanted the potato and pepperoni combo, so I ordered the Never Sleeps Bowl with mac and cheese inside, haha.
I'm also very serious about mac and cheese,, and this one was salty, nutty and delicious!
Dipped in this tomato salsa sauce, the richness is totally cut and it's heavenly! (It wasn't too rich for me, but my friend can't handle rich food and said the bowl on its own was a bit heavy, but she said it was delicious once dipped, haha)
I love that there are famous paintings all over Pizza Never Sleeps. Eating at the Last Supper table would be fun, haha.
Pizza Never Sleeps verdict: I'd go back
I'd been meaning to go for a while, and I was really happy with both the atmosphere and the food at Pizza Never Sleeps! The staff were all kind too! If you're looking for a Hongdae pizza place, I totally recommend it! And if you want a Hongdae pizza spot with good vibes, go to Pizza Never Sleeps in Hapjeong!
- Pros: tasty pizza, unique and nice interior, kind staff, a perfect mood for pizza and beer
- Cons: eating the potato pizza is probably a carb overload
- Would I go back: yes (I'd get the pepperoni and potato combo again, or try half mac and cheese~~)
