In short
Rigo Susan Jeonpo Station Main Branch is an aged raw-fish restaurant near Jeonpo Station in Busanjin, Busan. We ordered the small assorted sashimi set for 49,000 won with generous banchan, sushi rice, and Cheongha. Verdict: a pretty, filling spot for sashimi and drinks.

I visited Rigo Susan Jeonpo Station Main Branch (리고수산 전포역본점), an aged sashimi specialist near Jeonpo Station with loads of delicious banchan (Korean side dishes)!

Rigo Susan near Jeonpo Station Exit 8
Rigo Susan, a live-fish aged sashimi favorite near Jeonpo Station, was just a short walk from Exit 8! The blue sign welcomed us, so it was easy to find. It is nicely accessible, and there are lots of bars nearby for a second or third round, so it seemed like a great spot for either the first or second stop of the night!

Actually, I took these on the way out because it was so packed at first, hahaha. It was a little late for dinner, but quite a few people had come for aged sashimi and a drink!! There were tables for four and two, so it also looked great for group get-togethers. I had actually come with friends before, but it was full with a huge wait, so we went somewhere else ㅠㅠㅠ I finally made it to Rigo Susan's Jeonpo branch!

Filling banchan before the sashimi arrives
Rigo Susan in Jeonpo serves a wide variety of banchan. Let me introduce them one by one.

Seasoned squid and cold udon
Seasoned squid / cold udon. Seasoned squid as a side dish! You could easily finish a bottle of soju with this alone. I thought it would just be vegetables dressed in sauce, but I was so surprised to find it packed with substantial pieces of boiled squid, haha. You can also order individual extra sides on the tablet, so if you want more, you can have them for around ₩2,000!

Fried bites, corn cheese, and okonomiyaki
Corn cheese at a sashimi restaurant is seriously the best ㅠㅠ The okonomiyaki was delicious too.

Wrap vegetables, tofu kimchi, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and California rolls. These were not just token sides that no one eats—they were snacks that could lightly fill you up while waiting for the sashimi, which I liked even more. The tteokbokki was so good that I finished it all, haha. It was not overly spicy, just nicely delicious.

The fried bites come with tartar sauce, and dipping them in it makes the combination even better ♡

What comes with the small assorted sashimi set
We ordered the small assorted sashimi set for ₩49,000!! Three kinds of sashimi, sushi rice, radish sprouts, lemon, pickled scallions, ginger, and wasabi. The plating was so pretty for photos that it almost felt too nice to eat ♡ If you are looking for an aged live-fish sashimi spot near Jeonpo Station, I would love to recommend Rigo Susan!
In order, it was mulchi, salmon, and flounder. The selection seems to change a little each day! I especially loved that it came with sushi rice. I was hungry, and being able to make sushi as well as enjoy the banchan made the meal feel even more filling!

As a Busan local, I eat sashimi often, but sometimes I love sashimi arranged this beautifully too, haha. It has a nice atmosphere for coming with friends and having a drink, and there are plenty of other side dishes, so I think I will come back from time to time.

They even gave us two packets of mini roasted seaweed—more than enough! Put sashimi and vegetables on it and wrap it up; that is the move if you know how to eat.

How we ate the flounder, salmon, and mulchi
I really was not going to drink... If I did, I was only going to have one beer... But apparently there is some law saying you have to have Cheongha with sashimi (not really), so we ordered a bottle of Cheongha, while my mom had cider, hahaha.

First, I had the flounder with soy sauce and wasabi.

For the salmon, I added soy sauce and wasabi, then had it in one bite with sushi rice ♡ ♡

For the mulchi, I made a proper wrap with perilla leaf, white kimchi, radish sprouts, garlic, and spicy chili!

We made wraps in all kinds of combinations, had drinks with the sashimi and sides, and finished everything in no time. I wanted maeuntang (spicy fish stew) too, but we were too full, so I had to give up ㅠㅠ Rigo Susan, the aged sashimi favorite near Jeonpo Station Exit 8!! Next time, I definitely need to try the mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup) too.....
If you are looking for a Jeonpo Station date course, how about aged sashimi and a glass of Cheongha at Rigo Susan? ♡
