Extra Mile exterior: a white house in the alley

Step into the Gwangalli alley and the white exterior of Extra Mile is the first thing you notice. An old house has been stylishly remodeled, even with a little yard, and it looks so pretty. White with blue accents, it feels like a small restaurant on a side street abroad!

Like the name "Go the Extra Mile," the idea of offering a slightly more special experience came through naturally in the atmosphere of the place.
Extra Mile interior and seating

Inside, a tidy interior of harmonious wood and white greets you.

The soft lighting and tasteful music made the mood really relaxing.

It's an open kitchen, so you can watch the cooking,

and there's a bar counter too, so it suits both solo meals and dates.

Above all, the friendliness of the staff stood out. They guided us carefully from ordering to explaining the food, so we started our meal in a great mood.
Crayons and coloring paper on every table

Every table has crayons and coloring paper, which is such a thoughtful touch!

Waiting for the food wasn't boring at all, and I thought it would be nice to visit with kids too.
Extra Mile Classic Combo for two: what's in it and the price

We ordered Extra Mile's Classic Combo (set for two) for ₩42,000. It comes with a hot honey pepperoni pizza and a bisque cream pasta.
- Hot honey pepperoni pizza
- Bisque cream pasta
The pizza is special starting from the dough. They use Italian Caputo flour and the Biga fermentation method, aging the dough at low temperature for a full 48 hours, which they say gives a crispy outside and chewy inside. The pasta sauces are all handmade with no ready-made products, which shows their confidence in the flavor.
How was the hot honey pepperoni pizza?

Ta-da~ finally, the hot honey pepperoni pizza we ordered!

The moment it came out, I was wowed by how it looked! It was a completely different style from a regular pepperoni pizza.

So glossy~ don't you want to try this hot honey pepperoni pizza right away?

Extra Mile's hot honey pepperoni pizza has salty premium pepperoni topped with pickled chili peppers for a spicy kick, mascarpone and ricotta cheese softly wrapping it all, and a sweet finish of hot honey sauce. I was totally moved by how well the flavors worked together.
Above all, the 48-hour aged dough was the best. Crispy outside, moist and chewy inside, it was so good I found myself saying you could eat the dough alone.
The sweet-and-spicy combo is really addictive, and once I had one slice my hand kept reaching for more.

Eating it with the pickles served alongside brings out the savory flavor even more.
Best of the day: the bisque cream pasta

And personally, the best dish of the day was Extra Mile's bisque cream pasta.

The richly simmered shrimp bisque sauce soaks deep into the noodles, and with the flavor of Reggiano cheese and the savory umami of gamtae (a type of seaweed) added, it tasted truly upscale.

Plump shrimp are included generously too, so even the chew is perfect!

Put a little gamtae on top and it isn't heavy but nicely savory, a cream pasta you can enjoy to the very end, so I strongly recommend it.
Verdict: if you want both pizza and pasta in Gwangalli
If you want to properly enjoy pizza and pasta in Gwangalli, Extra Mile is a genuinely satisfying spot. The 48-hour aged dough, the handmade sauces and the well-made food, plus the atmosphere and service, all left us happy.
Brunch, a date, a get-together with friends, an anniversary meal: I think you won't regret visiting on any of them. If you're wondering where to go in Gwangalli today, I'm confident recommending Extra Mile! Go once and you'll instantly understand why it's popular.
