Where is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch?
Bueokgan Haeundae Branch (부엌간 해운대점) is on the 2nd floor of the former Sansutang building, in front of Hillstate Wive, as you head up the hill by Dongbaek Elementary School on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. I was looking for a Western restaurant in Haeundae and ended up heading up Dalmaji-gil.

The 1st floor has a bakery and a Chinese restaurant. Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor and you'll find Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, a European restaurant.
For parking, you can use the lot next to the bakery or the underground lot behind the building, which was convenient.
What is the atmosphere like at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch?
The space is said to be designed around the concept of a classic British vintage hotel. The mood caught my eye the moment I walked in, and it really did feel that way.
There's vintage furniture and decor imported directly from England, France and Italy, plus Czech Tone chairs and Vitra chairs, and you can feel the care put into details all around the space.
The spacious hall, over 100 pyeong (a pyeong is about 3.3 m²), is split into two moods: a heavy, dark-toned area and a bright area where sunlight pours in by the windows. Eating at the semicircular table, the signature of Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, while looking out the window felt really nice.

They also have high chairs, so it's a comfortable place to visit with a small child.

What did I order for the Bueokgan couple set?
This time I chose the Bueokgan couple set with pumpkin soup, garden salad, shrimp anchovy oil pasta and pepperoni pizza, plus grapefruit juice and orange juice. The menu was well packed, as you'd expect from a good Western restaurant in Haeundae.

Pumpkin soup & garden salad
The couple set came out course by course, starting with soup. The pumpkin soup came first.

They say the soup is made in-house, and the smooth, sweet pumpkin flavor was gentle and never overpowering.

The garden salad came neatly plated with fresh vegetables. It was nice to get some greens in lightly before the meal.
Grapefruit juice & orange juice
The drinks came one glass each. The grapefruit juice was sweet and tangy, and the orange juice was a clean palate refresher.
The drinks went well with the rich Western dishes.

How does the Bueokgan shrimp anchovy oil pasta taste?
The shrimp anchovy oil pasta at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a dish often mentioned as a go-to pasta in Haeundae.

It's an oil pasta with plump shrimp and anchovy, and the savory depth came through cleanly without that fishy note anchovy can have.

The noodles were cooked nicely firm, and the sauce soaked into them well, so I enjoyed it to the last bite.

How was the Bueokgan pepperoni pizza?
The pepperoni pizza at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is covered with pepperoni without a gap.

The dough itself is so good that even with a simple topping, it tasted great the whole way through.

The salty pepperoni went well with the dough, and the cheese stretched chewily, so it was a satisfying pizza.

Do I recommend Bueokgan Haeundae Branch for Western food on Dalmaji-gil?
With one couple set, I got to try everything from soup and salad to pasta and pizza, so it was a full, satisfying meal.

If you're looking for a Western restaurant in Haeundae, I recommend Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, a Dalmaji-gil restaurant that also suits a brunch mood.

It's a fine spot for a date, a family meal or a special occasion. You get great food and a space that satisfies too, which made it an even more memorable meal. If you're planning a trip to Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, do stop by!
