Ari Gyegok Wangsimni Hanyang University Branch is located at 14 Majo-ro 3ga-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, 1st-2nd floor. It's near Wangsimni Station, in an alley packed with bars, so it wasn't hard to find. Fair warning though — it's such a hip-looking bar you might just walk right past it without realizing‼️‼️

There's even a folding screen, giving it strong old-school vibes

They have yakju, fruit wine, highballs, omija liqueur, makgeolli, distilled traditional liquor, and more, so it's all good even if you come with friends who like different drinks! Ordering was through a QR code on the table, which was really convenient.

2-person clay duck pancake set — how does the ₩19,900 duck BBQ taste?

Since the set menu was so solid, I ordered the 2-person clay duck pancake set. On top of the duck pancake, I also added a beef tripe tofu hot pot‼️

Whoa, this is insane!!!!!!! The clay duck pancake, cooked and slathered in a mustard sauce that really looks like mud!!! You eat it together with lettuce and a vegetable salad!

Hanging there on the hook, it looked so delicious that I cut the duck meat off starting from the bottom and wrapped it up to eat!

I wrapped it up neatly like this, and the moment I took a bite — insane!!! It's not even a dedicated duck restaurant, and a bar can pull off this quality?? I think it's only possible because it's Ari Gyegok.

They cut the duck meat from the bottom into bite-sized pieces, and every time I saw the duck fat dripping down, my mouth watered ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Wrap up some duck, take a bite of the hot pot, repeat — you can keep eating this forever!!

Beef tripe tofu hot pot — the whole beef tripe is so tender

Silken tofu piled high on top!!!! Inside were chewy jjolmyeon noodles, long beef tripe, and plenty of vegetables too — so much to eat. Honestly this level deserves a bowl of rice to mix in!

The beef tripe comes out uncut! Since it's whole, you just cut it into bite-sized pieces yourself. It was super tender. Even my friend with braces could eat it easily since the tripe was so soft! Anyway, the broth was nice and refreshing, perfectly matched with drinks! This place is just great at side dishes — totally recommend it to college students in their early 20s.

Just kept inhaling it..!!! If we'd had more people, I would've wanted to order more variety, but with just two dishes for our small group, we ate everything and tapped out!!

It was just so good I finished everything. Price + quality👍👍 The drinks were great too?? Staff were kind and the interior was nice and airy, perfect for a date — a Wangsimni bar! After catching a movie at the CGV IMAX, coming here for drinks is just perfect!!! Thanks for the meal!
