In short
Josaeho Gwangalli Main Branch (조새호 광안리본점) is a grilled shellfish restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building right in front of Gwangalli Beach in Suyeong, Busan. Where is Josaeho Gwangalli Main Branch?
Josaeho Gwangalli Main Branch (조새호 광안리본점) is a grilled shellfish restaurant at 199 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan, on the 2nd floor of a building right in front of Gwangalli Beach. It is open daily 12:00–02:00.

I finally, finally, FINALLY went back to Busan after such a long time!!! Since I was there to see the sea, I figured I had to eat grilled shellfish~ so I went to Josaeho! It's right in front of Gwangalli Beach so it's easy to get to, and our accommodation was a 5-minute walk away, so it was super convenient 👍
What are the exterior, interior and Gwangan Bridge view like?
You go up to the 2nd floor of the building. The inside is spacious, and Gwangan Bridge is right outside the window. There are lots of seats away from the windows too, so it looks fine for groups.

Josaeho looks so cute, hahaha

You head up to the 2nd floor of this building!

In we go~!

The inside was huge!! And I was totally blown away by the view 😍💝 Gwangan Bridge was right there!!! An ocean view, confirmed!!!!

There are plenty of seats beyond the window side too, so I think a big group would have no problem!! 👍
What's on the Josaeho menu, and what did two people order?
Grilled shellfish is the main thing at Josaeho, and there are various sets that include lobster and raw fish. We were two people, so we ordered the 4-tier grilled shellfish (₩80,000).

Basically, grilled shellfish was the main thing! There were various sets including lobster and raw fish!! Since there were two of us, we ordered the 4-tier grilled shellfish, ₩80,000!!!!
What comes with the 4-tier grilled shellfish?
With the 4-tier grilled shellfish at Josaeho, ramen-tteokbokki (rice cakes with ramen noodles), a refreshing clam soup, fried flounder and corn cheese come as standard. The table is set with chojang (sweet-and-sour chili sauce), a bin for shells, tongs, scissors and tissues.
We sat at a window seat!! You can keep your clothes inside the chair, just so you know!

Spoons and chopsticks all set!

Chojang, a bin for shells, tongs, scissors, tissues and so on were on the table!

This is the ramen-tteokbokki that comes as standard!! Insanely delicious. A refreshing clam soup, fried flounder and corn cheese come standard too, can you believe it? ❤️

The 4-tier grilled shellfish has arrived!! Grilled shellfish with a fantastic night view, no joke, right?
What's in the 4-tier tray, and how does it taste?
The 4-tier tray at Josaeho isn't full of tiny clams but of scallops, hard clams, pen shells and abalone. There were two kinds of scallops: cheese scallops and vegetable scallops.

What was really generous is that the 4-tier tray wasn't full of tiny clams, but of scallops, hard clams, pen shells and abalone!! The scallops came in two kinds, cheese scallops and vegetable scallops ><

First we put on the scallops, hard clams and corn cheese!! I was so excited to have grilled shellfish after so long!! Hehe
Hard clams and abalone

We started with the hard clams that opened first, dipped in chojang~ Chewy and sweet, and so good!

Abalone went on where the hard clams had been~

Then fill in with the vegetable scallops!! The abalone was plump and chewy too, such a great texture (crying) Grilled abalone is the best
Cheese scallops with a little chojang on top

Next up, cheese scallops!!!! The nutty cheese went so well with the plump scallop meat!!

Personally, adding just a little more chojang on top made it even tastier. Recommended!!

A bite of corn cheese in between ><
Pen shell in the middle of the grill
The grill at Josaeho concentrates its heat in the middle, so we kept swapping the shells' positions as we grilled. After a few scallops, the pen shell was the main event!! Since the fire is a bit concentrated in the center, we took turns switching spots, hahaha

Put in the middle, the cheese melted in no time, and the pen shell scallop was perfectly grilled!

You know you have to eat this kind with a spoon, right!? Scoop up lots of cheese, sauce, scallop and onion and take it in one bite for the full effect!! Wow, sweet and tangy, so yummy!
Vegetable scallops

The vegetable scallops had finely chopped bell pepper, onion and more! The chewiness of the scallop and the sweetness of the vegetables went well together, haha

Is the 4-tier grilled shellfish enough for two people?
The 4-tier grilled shellfish at Josaeho was plenty for two people. And the scallop time just kept going!!! I wondered if it might be a little small, but as we ate it turned out to be quite a lot (O_O)!! For two people, I think the 4-tier tray is enough!!
We finished the meal looking at the beautiful Gwangan Bridge and the glittering yachts to the very end!
Josaeho, grilled shellfish in Gwangalli where we got atmosphere, taste and value all at once, with the open, beautiful night view of Gwangan Bridge!
