It was the day we'd planned a mudflat experience with the kids at the Nambuk Fishing Village Experience site in Yeongjong! The weather was lovely and I was craving a cold coffee, so I looked up cafés nearby and ended up at Pink Wall Cafe (핑크월카페). The kids and my husband headed off to the mudflats while I planned to enjoy a little time to myself, but my son came out unexpectedly early, so I couldn't stay long. Still, I picked up some coffee to go in a lovely café and got a quick change of mood.

Where Pink Wall Cafe is

Since we were doing the mudflat experience with the kids, I looked for somewhere nearby to have coffee. During the activity there's preparation and waiting time, and it's nice to have a café close by for a short break. Pink Wall Cafe happened to be only about 10 minutes away on foot. The sun was out and the breeze was cool, so I wanted to drink my coffee outdoors rather than inside.

Pink Wall Cafe is a terrace café with outdoor seating, so it looked like a good place to visit on a nice day. I was planning to sip my coffee in peace and then join my family, but the day turned out a little differently than expected.

What are the interior and terrace like at Pink Wall Cafe?

The pink exterior of Pink Wall Cafe stood out and caught my eye from far away. Inside, the first things I noticed were the pink chairs and pink accent decorations placed all around.

A huge pink chandelier added to the bright, cheerful feel of the whole place.

The colors are different from an ordinary café, so I thought it would be great for taking photos. There are seats in several areas, so it looks good for visiting with friends or as a family.

What caught my eye most was the outdoor space of Pink Wall Cafe. The terrace had plenty of seats, and a huge pink cherry blossom decoration made the atmosphere even better.

If you like pink interiors or enjoy coffee outdoors, a terrace café like this is a welcome find. Indoors and outdoors each have their own charm, so you can pick a seat depending on the weather and your taste.

I was determined to sit outside and have my coffee that day, but the moment I arrived at the café, I got a message that my son had already finished the mudflat experience. I never even got to sit down and had to switch to takeout in a hurry. The weather was great and I loved the atmosphere, so it was even more disappointing.

Does Pink Wall Cafe sell house-made bread?

Pink Wall Cafe isn't just about coffee. You can also enjoy house-made bread and bakery items. Every piece on display looked delicious. They were so tempting that ordering only coffee felt like a bit of a waste, and I wanted to try the bread next time.

When I look for a bakery café in Yeongjong, I check whether there's bread to go with the coffee, and at Pink Wall Cafe I think it would be even better to sit in the shop and enjoy a drink together with the bakery items.

This time my child came out early so I couldn't order any bread, but next visit I plan to take my time choosing.

What did we get for takeout at Pink Wall Cafe?

  • Lemonicano
  • Iced café latte
Takeout Lemonicano and iced café latte

The takeout drinks I ordered at Pink Wall Cafe that day were a Lemonicano and an iced café latte. The weather made me want something cold, and I was curious about something a bit different from my usual coffee, so I chose the Lemonicano too.

What does the Lemonicano taste like?

The Lemonicano at Pink Wall Cafe is a drink where the bitter flavor of coffee is added to sweet-and-sour lemon, and it has a different appeal from a regular Americano. Even the name sounds refreshing. It felt like lemon iced tea with a shot of espresso, so you get sweetness and coffee flavor together.

My husband, who drank it after the mudflat experience, reacted especially well. He said the sweet, tangy taste goes nicely with the coffee. It was also a great drink to have cold after playing outdoors. Even if you usually drink Americanos, it would be a fun change on days when you crave something zesty.

The iced café latte I ordered alongside is a safe choice for coffee lovers! Served cold, it was good to drink after outdoor activities. I couldn't sit in and savor it slowly this time, but being able to take coffee to go near the experience site was convenient.

A good café to visit before or after the Nambuk mudflat experience

This visit to Pink Wall Cafe wasn't as relaxed as I'd planned. Still, it's about a 10-minute walk from the Nambuk Fishing Village Experience site, so it was easy to grab coffee before or after the activity. If you're looking for a bakery café in Yeongjong, I recommend Pink Wall Cafe. The terrace seats are especially good, so I recommend it all the more.
