In short
Cleanit Black Bean is a milk-free plant protein powder made with Korean black soybeans. Mixed with just water in a shaker on a morning with no time to eat before driving to work, Cleanit Black Bean tasted like nutty, lightly sweet misugaru (roasted grain powder) with little of the usual chalky finish, and one cup was filling. At 170 calories, 1.9g of sugar and 13g of protein per serving, it works as an easy breakfast replacement even while watching your diet.

Cleanit Black Bean: a breakfast replacement for people who skip breakfast
I'm the type who loves sleeping in, so I usually don't eat breakfast, ugh. Plus if I eat something first thing in the morning my stomach feels heavy, so I'd rather sleep a bit longer and head to work, haha.
But then on the way to work I do start getting hungry. So for mornings I like something simple, and especially since I'm driving, it's awkward to eat anything — something simple I can just drink is way easier!
Cleanit Black Bean plant protein has a nutty, sweet misugaru (roasted grain powder) flavor, so it was easy to drink in the morning without feeling like a burden! After one cup I felt full, so it worked well as a simple substitute on days I skip breakfast. Let me introduce Cleanit Black Bean, which was great for a quick morning meal 👍🏻
One easy cup in the morning: Cleanit Black Bean plant protein

What's in it: black soybean, brewer's yeast and biotin
True to its name, Cleanit Black Bean is black food! It's a plant protein product made with black soybean. It also contains brewer's yeast and biotin, which are said to be good for hair health 👀

Most protein shakes contain milk, which many people can't have, but Cleanit Black Bean is a milk-free plant protein product, so it should work well for anyone who finds milk-based protein shakes uncomfortable.

170 calories, 1.9g sugar and 13g protein per serving
Looking at the nutrition label, it's 170 calories per serving! Sugar is 1.9g! And there's a whopping 13g of protein 👍🏻 I'm on a diet so I'm pretty picky about nutrition labels, and with low sugar and solid protein, this seemed really good to have instead of a meal, haha. For someone dieting 365 days a year, these numbers are pretty great ⭐

Zipper pouch packaging keeps storage and morning prep simple
It comes in a zipper pouch, so it's easy to store. There's quite a lot in there, so I could just scoop out as much as I needed each time, which was convenient. It's great to keep in the kitchen and pull out every morning!
On mornings when I have no time, there's nothing else to prepare — just water and powder in a shaker — so it was no burden at all to grab while getting ready for work, haha.

When you open the zipper pouch, an earthy-toned misugaru powder appears. The powder is really fine!! And interestingly, when you shake it with water, it turns a cookies-and-cream color.
How to mix Cleanit Black Bean: 40g in 170ml of water
The way to drink it is super simple too. Mix 40g of Cleanit Black Bean with 170ml of water or 200ml of soy milk, and you can apparently drink it 1–2 times a day.

How does Cleanit Black Bean taste? Nutty misugaru, less chalky
I have a shaker bottle, so I added water and shook it up. The powder is so fine it dissolves well in water without clumping 👍🏻 The taste is a nutty misugaru flavor with just the right amount of sweetness, and it was genuinely delicious. Even mixed with just water, it wasn't bland at all — really tasty, haha.
If you follow the recipe, you get a nice thick shake. If you like misugaru, this is a familiar flavor for you! I'm not a fan of that chalky protein-shake aftertaste, but this one didn't have much of that, so it was more comfortable to drink.

Who Cleanit Black Bean suits best
I barely eat breakfast to begin with, so if something like this doesn't taste good, it's hard to keep up with it, ugh, haha. But Cleanit Black Bean actually tastes decent, so it was easy to have as a quick morning meal.
Especially since I commute by driving, trying to eat anything in the morning used to be a hassle, but with this you just mix it with water and shake — nothing to prepare, so it was so convenient!
- People who feel they should eat breakfast but find rice or bread too heavy
- People who don't want to get hungry on the way to work
- People who find milk-based protein shakes uncomfortable
- People who like the taste of misugaru
If any of these sound like you, starting off light like this could be a good option 👍🏻
