What is Real Toon Comic Café like?

Real Toon Comic Café (리얼툰만화카페) is a webtoon café in Misa, Hanam, where every seat is a private room. It was a relaxed place to spend an unhurried few hours. The rooms aren't fully enclosed, so it feels open, and that made it fairly reassuring even for kids visiting on their own.

How much does Real Toon cost?

Real Toon charges ₩4,900 for a 1-hour pass and ₩9,900 for a 3-hour pass, and each includes 1 drink. On weekdays you can get a 5-hour pass for ₩14,900, and the weekday all-day pass is ₩16,900.

• Every room costs the same.
• Once you start, you can't change your time or your room.
• If you go over your time, ₩500 per 10 minutes is charged automatically, with no need to apply.
• If people are waiting for the Nintendo, you can use it for up to 2 hours from when you start.

Real Toon house rules: what should you know first?

Wear indoor slippers

No moving rooms after you choose

Once you pick a room at Real Toon, you can't move to another, so choose carefully. Take only as many books as you'll read, and put finished ones back where they were.

Outside food isn't allowed; drinks and meals are ordered from the café. Order through the QR code on the table, and a KakaoTalk notification arrives when it's ready. Check it, then pick up at the counter. Return your cups and bowls to the counter when you're done.

For the restroom, switch into the slippers next to the shoe rack. Also, when using OTT streaming or the Nintendo, keep the volume low so others can read in peace. That's the Real Toon rule.

Are there books for lower-grade elementary kids?

Real Toon had a good variety of study comics that lower-grade elementary kids love. We came with a lower-grade elementary kid. If your child has already read lots of study comics it might feel a little thin, but for ours there was plenty to read and they were very happy.

How do you choose a room at Real Toon?

Real Toon is fairly new, so it was clean and pleasant overall, and the cool indoors made it comfortable to stay a long time. The stylish wall art and interior add the fun of looking around and sparked our curiosity.

Not every room at Real Toon has a monitor, but some rooms let you watch OTT streaming and play Nintendo games. There's no extra charge for OTT or Nintendo, so it felt easy and worry-free.

Can you play board games at Real Toon?

Real Toon has a good range of board games, so you can enjoy more than webtoons. There's a dedicated board game table, but you don't have to play there. I liked that you can carry games to your own room and play with family or friends.

With webtoons, comic books, OTT, Nintendo and board games all in one place, Real Toon was a great spot for a date, and also for spending a cool indoor day with an elementary schooler.
