Yeonnam-dong café for a sibling who hates bitter coffee: Central Site

Central Site (센트럴사이트) in Yeonnam-dong is a lovely café for tiramisu and drip coffee, with a great atmosphere too.

Why I took my bitter-coffee-hating sibling to Central Site Yeonnam

Central Site Yeonnam is a specialty coffee shop in Yeonnam-dong where you can watch drip coffee being brewed and even smell the beans. My younger sibling has gotten interested in coffee and said they wanted good coffee, not bitter coffee, so we went to Central Site Yeonnam, which I'd wanted to visit for ages!

It's already well known among coffee lovers, and it's not just the coffee: the tiramisu is really good and the atmosphere makes it a great café for chatting.

Central Site Yeonnam sits on the roadside, about 5 minutes from Exit 3 of Hongik Univ. Station. With its lush trees, the exterior already feels charming. It opens early in the morning, so it seems good for picking up a morning coffee.

Central Site Yeonnam floors and seating

Central Site Yeonnam is a spacious café spanning floors 1 to 3. The 1st floor has the order counter and a hand-drip bar, so you can watch your coffee being made right in front of you. If you order drip coffee, you can smell the beans yourself, so you get to see the whole process.

I went upstairs to talk with my sibling, but if you're visiting alone or curious about how the coffee is brewed, sitting at the 1st-floor bar and watching would be great.

There are also tables on the 1st floor next to the stairs.

The 2nd and 3rd floors have plenty of 2- and 4-person tables, and from the windows you can look down on the Yeonnam-dong street. It's bright and warm overall, comfortable for chatting and staying a while.

Central Site Yeonnam menu and how to order

Central Site Yeonnam has a variety of brewed coffees, cold brew, Americano, café latte, non-coffee drinks, tiramisu, cookies and more, so it's easy to pick something to your taste.

Order on the 1st floor, then wait at your seat and the staff will bring your order. You only have to return your tray to the 1st floor! The staff were friendly and explained the menu, which I liked. To recap: order first on 1F, sit wherever you like, the staff bring it over, and afterward you just return it to 1F.

Because the staff explain the menu so kindly, even people who don't know much about coffee can order without feeling pressured.

Ethiopia Nordic Approach Yirgacheffe Chelbesa Washed

The cup notes are jasmine, white peach, orange and green grape. When you order, they let you smell the beans and explain the flavor, which is great for enjoying the coffee in detail. The Ethiopia was clean and refreshing, easy to drink!

Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed

The cup notes are hazelnut, butterscotch and milk chocolate. It's much nuttier than the Ethiopia, and drinking it while reading the sheet that explains how each bean's aroma and flavor differ made it even more fun.

How is the classic tiramisu at Central Site Yeonnam?

I also ordered the classic tiramisu to go with the coffee. The sheets were soft and moistly soaked in coffee, and the cream was rich yet sweet, which went well with the drip coffee.

The chocolate on top was tasty too, and the whole thing felt like a carefully handmade dessert. I came for the drip coffee, but the tiramisu was better than expected, which made me so happy.
