A Western restaurant near Isu Station that opens early: Dooblock Isu
Dooblock Isu (듀블럭 이수역점) is a Western restaurant near Isu Station that opens at 10:30 a.m. By day you can have a European-style brunch and coffee, and in the evening casual dining and wine. I was meeting a close friend (an older sister figure to me) in Isu after a long time, and since we wanted to meet early, I searched for Western restaurants that open early and found Dooblock Isu! The atmosphere looked so good too.
On top of that, it has baby chairs and children's tableware, so it's great for going with a baby, and it even has a wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible seating. Let me share my honest review of Dooblock Isu!
Where is Dooblock Isu, and what about parking?
Dooblock Isu is a 3-minute walk from Exit 5 of Isu Station on Lines 4 and 7, so it was very easy to get to.

For parking, the restaurant's own lot offers free mechanical parking. Electric vehicles and SUVs can't use the mechanical parking, so if you park at Building 102 of Bangbae Seyang Arvice (방배 세양아르비채), up to 2 hours are covered during your visit.
Dooblock Isu exterior and interior atmosphere

This is the exterior of Dooblock Isu. The sleek, stylish interior catches your eye right away, and warm light was glowing out from inside.

Is it busy even right at the 10:30 a.m. opening?
My friend and I arrived right at the 10:30 a.m. opening, and three tables were already taken. I was surprised that so many people come for brunch this early. Around 11 o'clock, even more guests showed up.
The inside is very spacious, with generous space between tables. There are tables for 2, 4 and 6, so it seems good for wedding-invitation get-togethers, all kinds of gatherings and dates. Private bookings for group events are also available, so keep that in mind.

Is it okay to go with a baby?
Dooblock Isu has all sorts of pretty props arranged around, and in one corner there were picture books for babies. Such a thoughtful touch! I think it would be fine to visit with a baby. It was the first kid-friendly restaurant I'd seen in Seoul, so it felt novel to me.
How to order at Dooblock Isu
You order from the menu by tablet at your seat, which was convenient.

We were two adult women, and we ordered the jambon cabbage salad, honey cod, garlic gorgonzola pizza and lemonade! If you come with a baby, a baby chair and children's tableware are provided too.
The signature jambon cabbage salad: is it too salty?

The first thing we ordered was Dooblock Isu's signature jambon cabbage salad (jambon is Korean-style cured ham).

I worried the jambon might be too salty, but it wasn't salty at all. The baby napa cabbage is lightly cooked, so it's tender yet crunchy, and the sauce inside goes together so well. There's a reason it's the signature dish.
What does the Spanish dish honey cod taste like?

The second signature dish at Dooblock Isu: honey cod! Doesn't it look gorgeous? Food that looks good tends to taste good too!
Honey cod is a Spanish dish, and YouTubers always rave about it when they go to Spain, so I'd always wondered what it tasted like. It happened to be on the Dooblock Isu menu, so I ordered it.

To be honest, I don't really like fish dishes, but the honey cod was delicious! The tomato sauce underneath and the aioli on top work in harmony, and the cod flaked softly in my mouth. It's hard to find elsewhere, so I think it's worth trying once.
Garlic gorgonzola wood-fired pizza topped with pistachios

The third dish was the garlic gorgonzola pizza. I hear the dough is made in-house with Neapolitan flour, aged for 36 hours and baked in an oven above 400 degrees.

As you'd expect from a wood-fired pizza, it was chewy and delicious. Crushed pistachios are sprinkled on top, which was distinctive and nutty and tasty. I ate 4 slices all by myself!
Lemonade

Getting the basics right is surprisingly hard, but the lemonade at Dooblock Isu was refreshing and good too.
Dooblock Isu overall review

Everything we ordered at Dooblock Isu, from the salad to the honey cod to the pizza, was so delicious that it was hard to rank them.
With its sleek, stylish interior and lovely atmosphere, I got curious about what it feels like at night. There are lots of distinctive dishes too, so I'll have to come back and try the others. If you're looking for Western food in Isu, I really hope you'll visit Dooblock Isu.
