Looking for a healthy dinner in Misa, Hanam: Dolsoe Ssambap
I met a friend from my neighborhood for dinner in Misa and we went to Dolsoe Ssambap (돌쇠쌈밥) in Hanam Misa. I'd been eating nothing but greasy food out and about, and my body felt kind of heavy, so I went looking for a healthy place. Then I heard "unlimited wrap greens" and got hooked, texted my friend right away and off we went, haha. I went in with big expectations, so I'll write it up in detail.
Where is Dolsoe Ssambap, and what about parking?
Dolsoe Ssambap is on the 2nd floor of Misa Hyundai Cluster 3. The building itself is big, so we started off with easy parking.

Inside Dolsoe Ssambap: good for a dinner with friends?
The tables are spaced generously, so we could eat comfortably without worrying about the next table. It was dinner time, and it was a relaxed spot to sit and chat with my friend.

It was quiet when we arrived, but the place filled up fast a little later. I can see why it's popular, haha.
They even have deodorizer spray and toothpicks by the entrance, which felt like a thoughtful touch on the way out, haha.

Jeyuk ssambap for two at ₩28,000: what's on the table?

My friend and I ordered the Dolsoe jeyuk ssambap set for two (₩28,000). The main comes already cooked, so it's easy to eat. Not having to grill anything turned out to be a bigger plus than I expected.

There are 8 basic banchan alone, plus the wrap greens, so the table already felt full before the main even arrived. It was plenty for two people.

13 kinds of wrap greens, from lettuce and perilla leaves to chicory and angelica leaves
The first thing that caught my eye at Dolsoe Ssambap was the wrap greens. I was surprised they give you 13 kinds, and sure enough, besides lettuce and perilla leaves there was chicory and even angelica leaves (danggwi), so picking and choosing was fun.

Swap the seafood ssamjang for mackerel ssamjang
The ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste) comes as seafood ssamjang by default, but you can switch it to mackerel ssamjang. The one made with grilled mackerel has a really distinctive savory depth, so I'd definitely recommend trying it. My friend completely fell for this ssamjang.

How the jeyuk bokkeum, steamed egg and doenjang stew taste
The main, jeyuk bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork), had a faint smoky grill flavor and the seasoning soaked all the way through, so it was good with rice and good wrapped in greens.

The steamed egg was soft and warm, and one spoonful first settles your stomach. The doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) had a rich homestyle doenjang flavor, loaded with tofu and zucchini, and I finished the broth too. My friend and I kept saying how good it was, haha.
How does the wrap green refill work at Dolsoe Ssambap?
The basic serving of wrap greens is already generous, and when I asked for one more refill, they filled the basket to the brim, so I could enjoy fresh greens to my heart's content. I heard the lineup of greens changes a little with the seasons, so it sounds like each visit would bring something new.
My friend and I made wraps with our own favorite combinations of greens and chatted about this and that, and we lost track of time.

Next time I definitely want to try the stir-fried octopus ssambap and the pork galbi ssambap too, haha.
Verdict: would I go back to Dolsoe Ssambap in Misa, Hanam?
Dolsoe Ssambap in Hanam Misa is a place I think I'll keep remembering whenever I want a healthy meal. Unlimited fresh wrap greens and a generous banchan spread beat my expectations for the price. It's also a great spot for a family gathering or a dinner with friends to chat over, so I'll probably be back, haha.
