Seongsu date café with patio seats and gold-leaf chocolate: LOOOP

This is a café I stopped by while on a date in Seongsu, haha. I visited LOOOP in Seongsu, where you can find all kinds of bakery items and desserts!

LOOOP Bakery location and opening hours in Seongsu

LOOOP is at 9-13 Yeonmujang 5-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the 1st floor, 341 m from Exit 4 of Seongsu Station. Coffee is served daily from 09:30 to 02:00 the next day, and the bakery daily from 12:00 to 02:00 the next day, as posted.

What does the LOOOP building look like?

LOOOP looks like a big, pretty gift box, so it stands out even from far away. Seeing the outside, I could get why it's so famous as a big Seongsu café... it looked huge, haha. Really, it was like a giant pretty gift box 🤣🎁

LOOOP floor by floor: from the 1st-floor café to the 4th-floor photo spot

According to the floor guide, the 1st floor is the café LOOOP, the 2nd floor holds the Better Choice and Unaiad offices, the 3rd floor has a private room and the rooftop, and the 4th floor is a photo spot. I found the guide while wandering around, and with a rooftop and photo spot on top of the café, just looking around the space was fun 📸

The spaces worth a look at LOOOP are the rooftop and the photo spot, haha. The rooftop had outdoor tables and chairs, plus an awning overhead to block the sun. On a nice day it would be great for enjoying coffee outside with the open-air atmosphere ;)

There are photo spots scattered all around, so I think it's a café that's popular with tourists too :)

LOOOP bakery selection and how to order

At LOOOP you pick your bread first, then order coffee or a drink. There was a huge variety of bakery items too, set out on a display shelf along one side of the shop.

From croissants to pastries, cookies and baked sweets, there were so many that I spent ages browsing to decide, haha :-)

There were also lots of cute pound cakes that would make good gifts, and they sell whole cakes too, so bread lovers are happy here.

Can you choose the Americano beans at LOOOP?

Yes, when you order an Americano at LOOOP you can choose from several beans. We picked our bread first and then ordered coffee: one with decaf beans and one with dark beans, haha.

LOOOP's 1st-floor outdoor seats on a nice day

Besides the 3rd-floor rooftop, LOOOP also has outdoor seats on the 1st floor. The weather was great that day, and it was actually cooler outside than inside! So we sat at a 1st-floor outdoor table, haha.

At LOOOP we ordered two iced coffees and two bakery items ☕️🍞 With the desserts set on a plate next to the coffee, it looked delicious from the first glance, haha.

The bun on the left is piled with white cream, so I picked it because it looked like it couldn't possibly be bad, haha. The other dessert had a chocolate coating topped with gold leaf, which felt really luxurious ✨ Together with cold iced coffee, it was a lovely, relaxed time with sweet desserts 😊

This Seongsu bakery café had plenty to look at: the distinctive ribbon-decorated exterior, a wide range of bakery items and desserts, a modern interior and a rooftop.
