Today it's a Sinchon Severance Hospital food find! I'm introducing Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch, where you can enjoy a really good burger :)
Where is Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch?
Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch is in the basement food court of the cancer hospital at Sinchon Severance Hospital. If you're coming from outside the hospital, go to the right of the Yonsei University main gate and you'll find the entrance down to the basement. If you're coming from inside the hospital, leave the cancer hospital and take the escalator down.
This used to be a Pascucci café, but when I went this time it had changed, haha.

Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch is open daily from 07:00 to 20:30. Takeout, delivery, reservations and group visits are available, and there's Wi-Fi, separate men's and women's restrooms, easy pay and parking.
What's on the Bas Burger menu?
This is the menu at Bas Burger, the Sinchon Severance favorite. They sell a variety of burgers made with different patties: beef, shrimp, chicken and more. Besides burgers, there are sides like cheese bacon fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries and chicken. You can also add toppings to each burger. Nice, nice!
After some deliberating, we ordered the Bas Burger set and the Crunch Chicken Burger set :)
Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch atmosphere and seating
The shop was neat and clean overall. It hasn't been open long, so it felt great. The self-bar is right by the entrance, with tables on both sides. There are more than 10 tables, mostly for 2 or 4 people.
The mood is cozy yet hip. It looks good not only for patients and their companions visiting the hospital but also for college students nearby, haha. You order at the kiosks, and there are 3 in total, outside and inside the shop.
Are the self-bar potato chips free?
The self-bar at Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch has tissues, sauces and potato chips, and if you're eating in, you can help yourself to the chips. Oh... I've never seen a place give chips out like this by default. For a potato lover like me, wow... totally my thing!! Yay!
How do the Crunch Chicken Burger set and Bas Burger set taste?
After ordering, I started on the self-bar chips while we waited, haha. They're perfect for the wait. And being able to eat as many as you like is such a nice service :) They were crispy and tasty too, nice, nice! Why isn't there a place like this near my house... so sad, lol.
Soon the burgers we ordered came out. They looked so pretty.
The top one is the Crunch Chicken Burger I ordered, and the bottom one is the Bas Burger.
The fries that come with the set are quite generous. So good, so good! Since the chips are served by default, if those are enough for you, you don't even need to order the fries, haha.
Crunch Chicken Burger: crispy chicken with coleslaw
As the name says, the chicken in the Crunch Chicken Burger was really crispy. The chicken was plump and meaty, so it was very satisfying to eat. The meat was tender too, totally satisfied! And above all, the bun was really good. Chewy, moist and nutty, it was truly delicious.
Unusually, the Crunch Chicken Burger doesn't have regular lettuce; instead it has a coleslaw-like mix with onion, carrot, cabbage and so on. I thought it was distinctive :) The sauce was sweet and tangy too, so everything went together really well.
Bas Burger: the basic burger with a beef patty
Think of the Bas Burger as the basic burger with a beef patty. The bun was good here too, which made it even tastier. The beef patty was mild and nutty, and one bite gave rich flavor. With lettuce, onion, tomato and more, it had a fresh taste and a well-balanced mix of everything, haha.
French fries
The fries were crispy too, nice, nice! They weren't heavily salted, so they were easy to eat without feeling heavy. The portion was very generous, really nice :) For a potato lover like me, this place was truly satisfying, lol. Chips and fries, both good, so good :)
Overall verdict on Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch
At Bas Burger Yonsei Cancer Hospital Branch, the burgers taste even better because the bun is good to begin with. The ingredients are generous and tasty, so I was very satisfied. There's a wide range of burgers, so you can eat to your taste. And above all, personally, chips served as a basic service is totally great! I left very full :) I'm planning to visit again~
