Songdo café for acidic pour-over & choco scoop cake: Standard Square

I got a great chance to visit Standard Square (스탠다드 스퀘어) café! It's been a while, and as expected, Standard Square is amazingly good at brewed coffee!!

What is Standard Square in Songdo like in the evening?

Standard Square is a Songdo café with a blue signboard that glows bright even in the evening. It's open every day from 9:00 to 22:00, so it's a good place to stop by at night too.

(I took these in the evening, so please bear with me,,) The signboard is blue. Standard Square glows bright even at night *_*!! You can see how bright it is inside thanks to the contrasting lights, so it already gives off that tasty-place smell, sniff sniff, doesn't it?

Which brewed coffees did I have at Standard Square?

This time I picked two brewed coffees at Standard Square: Ethiopia Wesi Tima Washed G1 and Colombia Agua Linda Chirosso Natural. I used to only drink the signature coffees, but this time I tried the brewed coffee!! Ethiopia Wesi Tima Washed G1, Colombia Agua Linda Chirosso Natural, and,,

The chocolate scoop cake,, totally stole my eyes,, Boss, one of these too please!

Ahh,, next time I'm going to try all of these cookies..!

Do acidic brewed coffee and chocolate scoop cake go well together?

The acidic brewed coffee and chocolate scoop cake at Standard Square went together so well that the writer calls it on par with chicken and cola. The chocolate scoop cake was soft and not very sweet, which balanced nicely with the acidic coffee.

My menu choice was seriously excellent..! I've fallen for acidic coffee lately... brewed coffee and scoop cake, I mean, what a combo. A dreamy harmony, almost chicken-and-cola level. The chocolate scoop cake was softer and a lot less sweet than I expected, and when it met the acidic coffee, it was like fireworks going pop-pop-pop in my mouth! I thought I made a great choice with the chocolate scoop cake!!

A bean guide comes with the coffee

Standard Square also gives you a bean guide along with the brewed coffee. Acidic beans are the best,, ♡ A true Songdo coffee find, no doubt!!

Next time I'll have to take these beans home too..!

Standard Square is the café with the blue signboard you see right on your right as soon as you cross Songdo 2nd Bridge. The address is 50 Keonbensia-daero, Building 101, Units 101-102, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, South Korea.

Would I recommend Standard Square to brewed coffee lovers?

If you like brewed coffee, I think comparing the different aromas and flavors of each bean at Standard Square is a lot of fun! For me, this menu choice was an absolute must-recommend!!! Coffee really makes you happier when you meet a bean that suits your taste,, ♡

The dessert selection is really varied too, so next time I'm going to try cookies and a different scoop cake flavor! Even after a long gap, the coffee and the atmosphere at Standard Square were still really good! If you're looking for a café with a nice mood or a great brewed coffee spot in Songdo, I think it's worth a visit ♥ I'm planning to come back soon,, hehe ☕🍰
