Mangwon Mexican restaurant: shrimp combo fajita platter at Taco Dot

I was looking around for something to eat in Mangwon-dong and landed on Taco Dot! I usually love Mexican food, and that day I really wanted fajitas so I could build my own plate exactly the way I like it — so off to Taco Dot we went~

How to find Taco Dot near Mangwon Market, and the weekend wait

Taco Dot is located on the way from Exit 2 of Mangwon Station toward Mangwon Market. Since it was the weekend there was a wait, so we put our name down and wandered around the market and nearby streets — the time flew by, haha.

Inside Taco Dot: interior and seating

Inside, Taco Dot is decorated like you've traveled abroad, giving off a pretty authentic (?) atmosphere. Seating was mostly 2- and 4-person tables, with a bar table further inside.

The bathroom at Taco Dot was so unusual I had to take a photo — it felt like a botanical garden, hahaha. At first I honestly didn't think it was the bathroom^^ hahaha

Taco Dot's menu and what two people ordered

Taco Dot had simple 2-piece tacos you could grab easily, plus meat and shrimp fajita platters, full meals, and side dishes — plenty of variety to choose from. For two people, we went with the shrimp combo fajita platter along with a lemonade and a mango-ade!

Lemonade and mango-ade, 6,000 won each

Lemonade 6,000 won / Mango-ade 6,000 won. Refreshing and sweet ades~~ they helped digest between bites of taco, haha. What surprised me was that I expected the mango-ade to just be syrup-flavored, but it actually had real steamed mango on top, which made it even better 😋

What's on the shrimp combo fajita platter, 38,900 won

Shrimp combo fajita platter, 38,900 won. A generously packed fajita platter! It came with coleslaw, three kinds of sauce, and even cilantro. Tortillas and sauces are free to refill~~👍🏻

The shrimp combo isn't just shrimp — it comes with pork too, so it felt like getting two main dishes in one!! We both love shrimp and pork, so this fajita platter was super satisfying, haha. The shrimp were plump and large, and the pork was tender lean meat~~

With so many sauces plus the coleslaw, mixing and matching to my own taste made everything taste amazing 🥰

Adding guacamole (4,000 won) and chipotle cream sauce (2,000 won)

Guacamole 4,000 won / Chipotle cream sauce 2,000 won. I love guacamole so I ordered it as an extra, and I was curious about the chipotle cream sauce so I got one to try!

The guacamole is only 4,000 won but the portion is huge 🥹 Even after scooping big spoonfuls, it barely goes down (so happy). Fresh and creamy guacamole — feels like a must-have when eating tacos ㅜㅜ Absolutely delicious 💓

The chipotle sauce was a little spicy-savory with a tangy kick. It was a bit much for a spice wimp like me, but still a satisfying flavor 😊

Endless taco-making~~ if you love cilantro, it's already included in the dish by default so you don't need to order it separately, which is a nice touch!!

Is Taco Dot worth a return trip in Mangwon-dong?

Taco Dot has officially made it onto my list of Mangwon-dong favorites. It was supposed to be one meal but felt like eating two 🥰 It had been a while since I'd had tacos, and the portions were so generous and delicious that I think I'll be back whenever I'm craving Mexican food in Mangwon-dong. If you're looking for a place to eat before or after checking out Mangwon Market, Taco Dot is worth putting on the list!!
