This time I'm reviewing Euljiro Charcoal Grill Guwol Branch, which I visited recently! On a hot day, how about a cool spot for a quick drink after work with coworkers or friends — soju and grilled meat 💦

Great value, a varied and delicious menu, and a retro vibe — this place had it all! The owner was so friendly too, and the menu works whether you're a meat person or a seafood person, so it's really good for going with a group.
Ordering the 600g pork platter, pork skin included
We ordered the pork platter! At Euljiro Charcoal Grill Guwol Branch, the pork platter is the signature dish that lets you try samgyeopsal (pork belly), mokssal (pork neck), hangjeongsal (pork jowl), galmaegisal (pork skirt meat), and pork skin all at once.
Being able to eat so many different cuts at once was great. I'm a pork skin killer, so having it included made me so happy. Whenever I go to a BBQ place, I have to order pork skin.
The owner's recommendations were:
- Pork platter (돼지한근): the signature dish at Euljiro — samgyeopsal, mokssal, hangjeongsal, galmaegisal, and pork skin at an affordable price
- Cheese-grilled horse clam: horse clam grilled with shrimp, mushroom, and pepper toppings, full of cheese and buttery flavor, sweet and spicy
- Samgyeopsal (pork belly): top value, juicy pork belly
- Mokssal (pork neck): top value, tender pork neck

Side dishes and the self-serve bar at Euljiro Charcoal Grill
Here's how the side dishes came out! There was mu-saengchae (spicy radish salad), and it said it's best eaten while still icy. It was my first time having frozen radish salad as a side, but eating it together with the meat was delicious!
I'm not much of a wrap person, but my friend was happy there was cheongsangchu (green leaf lettuce) and ate a lot of it wrapped.
The self-serve bar was also nicely set up, so I kept going back and forth.
Pork grilled over charcoal briquettes, with soybean stew
It had been a while since I had meat grilled over real charcoal, haha. I'm obsessed with mushrooms — I won't eat meat without them 😋
My meat arrived~!
They grilled the meat, mushrooms, kimchi, and garlic together right away, expertly. Looking at the photos again is making me so hungry.
We ordered soybean stew (doenjang-jjigae) too!! The ingredients inside were really substantial. Big chunky pieces, so delicious, seriously! The kind of stew that makes you finish a bowl of rice in no time!!
Three bottles of soju, and gochujang pork belly next time
Ah, I regretted not ordering the gochujang pork belly too!! Next time I revisit, I'll definitely try the gochujang pork belly! But the soju was really delicious too. I ended up drinking three bottles by myself.. 💦

Mmm~ so good, tender and chewy, so delicious, the soju just keeps going down
After the first order, you can add on in 100g increments, so it seemed really good for pairing different meats with drinks. While taking photos I thought I'd finish off with the hangover ramyeon too, but I was too full to eat it.. 🥺🥺
We finished up with cold noodles! It had been a while since I had such a hearty dinner of meat 🤤
