I was looking for a place for a brunch meetup with a friend, and I heard there was a Blue Ribbon restaurant at the Asiad area in Guwol-dong, Incheon, so I went and checked it out. After eating there, I understood exactly why it's a Blue Ribbon spot. Both my friend and I were super satisfied, so let me introduce it right away.

Where Withwich is, opening hours and parking

• 🛻 Parking: Basement level 2 of the Blue City building (dedicated to the retail complex), parking support available

From the vintage-feel exterior to the Blue Ribbon mark right on the door, my expectations were already rising haha 😄

The restroom is on the 1st floor of the building, out through the back door of the restaurant — you'll need to know the door code. It's a shared building restroom but it was clean!

Inside Withwich: atmosphere and seating

True to its reputation as a Guwol-dong Blue Ribbon favorite, Withwich was packed with customers — there was even a wait while I was eating. It really felt like a true neighborhood favorite.

The interior is mostly sofa-seat tables and 4-person tables.

Fitting for a Guwol-dong brunch favorite, celebrities, baseball players and YouTubers have apparently visited a lot too.

Parking registration is available, so mention it when you order.

What's on the Withwich menu

Withwich's main menu had a wide variety of sandwiches, pastas, and pizzas.

There were also salads and side dishes prepared.

There were set menus ranging from 2-person to 4-5 person sets, plus coffee, non-coffee drinks, and even beer for sale. The prices were generally reasonable, so it seemed like a good place to order a bit of everything.

After ordering, you need to grab your own tableware — it's located next to the store counter.

Free pickles were also available, so just take as much as you'll eat.

Side plates, cups, and everything else you need is stocked there too — grab whatever you need. I grabbed a knife to cut the sandwich.

The With Brunch set comes with salad + sandwich + pasta + 2 drinks. On the day I visited, the salad was sold out, so it was swapped for sliced baguette.

Worried that one sandwich alone wouldn't be enough, I ordered an extra one — and one slice was almost the size of a burger 😮 Each sandwich comes pre-cut into 2 pieces, so it's great for splitting with a friend.

Spicy Perilla Leaf Bulgogi Sandwich

The Spicy Perilla Leaf Bulgogi Sandwich, the restaurant's best-selling item, was on nearly every table.

They packed in the ingredients so generously that the sandwich was almost too big to bite into in one go.

The outer bread on the sandwich was baguette — not chewy at all, well toasted, and nicely crisp, which made it easy to eat. The bread itself was so good it elevated the whole sandwich.

Carbonara at Withwich

For pasta I picked the best-selling carbonara — the sauce came generously poured and the portion was large.

Look at the glossy shine on the noodles. There was plenty of sauce so I could enjoy it moist down to the last noodle, and it wasn't overly heavy or greasy.

True to carbonara, it had a rich, creamy texture and the noodles were cooked just right for a good bite. If you're looking for a good pasta restaurant in Guwol-dong with a wide variety of options, Withwich is the place ♡

The sliced baguette that replaced the salad

Since the salad was sold out, I got baguette as a side instead — and after tasting it, I actually thought it was lucky the salad ran out, because the bread itself was genuinely delicious.

The baguette was great dipped in the olive balsamic that came with it,

and even better dipped into the carbonara sauce — very satisfying.

Apparently Withwich roasts its own coffee, and maybe that's why it tasted deeper and richer. It paired really well with the sandwich and pasta! After finishing your meal, you need to return your own dishes — the return counter is right next to the register.

Is Withwich worth it? Final thoughts

After eating there myself, I understood why this place has been a beloved favorite in the Guwol-dong Asiad area for so long. The sandwiches come stuffed generously with fillings, and eating them alongside pasta made for a really filling meal. The menu variety makes it easy to pick something to your taste, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it a good spot for brunch, dates, or family meals.
