I finally visited this Anguk restaurant a reader recommended — the heat had eased up a bit, so walking around Anguk street felt so nice too, and the food and atmosphere were so good that I'm recommending it to you all! 🥹🩷

Every single dish was a hit, seriously so tasty. The two of us ate so happily until we were stuffed!

Concasse Anguk's green salad is 12,000 won — we ordered it lightly but the portion was surprisingly big. First up 🥗 the green salad! These days I prefer ordering a salad alongside the main dish rather than just the main alone 🥹 It's full of fresh vegetables that felt like they reset your palate before the meal starts. The crunchy texture was nice too, and since the main dishes tend to be creamy and rich, eating them together with the salad made for a much better balance 🥗💚

Especially when eating rich dishes like pasta or gnocchi, having a salad alongside kept my chopsticks moving. A great, clean way to start the meal :)

Concasse Anguk's wasabi cream pasta is 18,000 won, a cream sauce with a sharp kick of wasabi added in. The name alone made me curious, and the soft, savory cream sauce paired with the wasabi aroma much better than I expected. It's not just a heavy, greasy cream pasta — the subtle wasabi scent keeps it from getting cloying the more you eat! If you like the thick, smooth taste of cream but don't want anything too heavy or greasy, I think you'll love this one 👀✨

Potato gnocchi, 19,000 won

Concasse Anguk's potato gnocchi is 19,000 won, and it was the gnocchi of my life on this visit. Gnocchi's charm is that fluffy yet chewy potato texture, and Concasse's potato gnocchi was wonderfully soft to eat. The savory potato flavor paired with the sauce was great in every bite, and since it's a creamy dish too, I'd recommend alternating with the salad in between if you're eating it alongside the wasabi cream pasta 😋

Why Concasse Anguk works for a date in Anguk

Concasse Anguk is where I found the gnocchi of my life, and an Anguk restaurant whose atmosphere I loved just as much. I think part of why Concasse was so good was the mood of the space, not just the food. If you like Anguk's own quiet, sentimental atmosphere, it's a great place to go for a meal. These days I prefer places where you can also enjoy spending time in the space, not just eat and leave right away.

Especially if you're on a date or meeting a friend around Anguk or Bukchon, it's worth stopping by for a meal while wandering the neighborhood.
