While I was up in Incheon, I went looking for a good gamjatang (pork bone soup) place for the first time in a while and stopped by this spot in Bupyeong. I heard it was a newly opened favorite in Bupyeong, so I was curious. Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch.

This is Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch, a popular gamjatang spot in Bupyeong. If you come out near Exit 12 of the Bupyeong Underground Shopping Center, turn into the alley and it is right there. As everyone knows, parking in Bupyeong is not easyㅠ I recommend using a public or paid parking lot.

If there is a wait, you can join the queue through Catchtable and sit on the chairs out front. One big advantage here is that it is open 24 hours a day, all year round, so you can drop in anytime, even late at night or in the early hours!

Inside Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch, the tables are arranged like those at a typical meat restaurant, but there is plenty of room, so group meals are possible too. There were already quite a few diners when I visited. The entrance feels very open, which helps keep odors from lingering.

There is some reading material on the walls, and it says they prepare their meat fresh from the Incheon Livestock Products Market. The alcohol and glasses were chilled well in advance, so you can enjoy them nice and cold. That seems like a big plus for a get-together.

Beyond gamjatang, there are so many choices: the Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal set, gamjatang with aged kimchi, stone-pot braised bones, fire-grilled bones, minari shrimp pancake, seafood pajeon (scallion pancake), kimchi pancake, yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), stir-fried squid, beef brisket doenjang stone-pot rice, yukjeon (pan-fried beef), boiled pork, Pyongyang dumplings, donggeurangttaeng (Korean meat patties), steamed egg, soft tofu stew, doenjang stew, spicy pork rice, and more.

I ordered the Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal set for two with minari shrimp pancake, ₩49,000. Being able to enjoy gamjatang, pork belly, and pajeon all at once made it look like such good value, right?

The main dishes came out, and since I was absolutely starving, my mouth was watering haha..

Crispy minari shrimp pancake

The minari shrimp pancake was really crisp and thin, with very large shrimp in it. The bite was so good. Everyone will like this one haha.

Fresh and frozen pork belly

The pork belly came in two kinds, fresh and frozen. Grill them until nicely golden, and I wondered if there is any better drinking snack than this. Oh, but I drove, so I did not drink haha.

Wrap the pork belly with the scallion salad grilling beside it and kimchi for an extra savory bite. You absolutely have to try them together.

Gamjatang finished with ramen noodles

The meat in the gamjatang was incredibly tender. The lean meat just melted away in my mouth. Add ramen noodles too and let it boil to your heart's content—that completes today's meal haha. Another great meal today.

It was a set that lets you enjoy gamjatang, pork belly, and pajeon in one go, so the selection was solid. It was good value and the portions were quite generous, making it look perfect for friends or a group gathering.
