Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch (어질 인 왕십리역점) is a bakery café on the 1st and 2nd floors at 18 Majo-ro 9-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, open every day from 09:00 to 22:30. I'm someone who absolutely has to have dessert after dinner, so I rushed over to this Wangsimni café.
The small Eojil In café is right next to Wangsimni Station!

The display case at Eojil In Wangsimni was packed with madeleines, financiers and egg tarts!! I've been obsessed with egg tarts lately, so I really wanted one of those golden-brown ones.
The gift boxes at Eojil In Wangsimni are so cute too, perfect for a small present. I'll stop by next time I need a takeaway gift.
The chocolate cake.. look at it....!!! There's no way I'm not eating that..
There are lots of kinds of financiers, and I highly recommend them!! Even in the evening, plenty of people came in for after-meal desserts! It's already a famous Wangsimni bakery! And Hanyang University is nearby, so there are lots of students too!
Maybe because it's near a university area by Wangsimni Station, the prices were cheap too!!
What's the famous cake at Eojil In Wangsimni?
We ordered the chocolate cake, churro madeleine and egg tart, but from what I overheard other people saying.. the Basque cheesecake seems to be the famous cake at Eojil In Wangsimni..! No wonder there were so many of them.. Everyone was ordering the Basque cheesecake!!
Getting financiers and madeleines like that as a gift would be so nice!! Nobody dislikes financiers and madeleines, right!!
How is the egg tart at Eojil In?
The egg tart at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch was a classic one, baked golden brown, crisp outside and moist inside!! The baking is amazing!! Sometimes the tart shell is soggy or the egg filling is too rich, but maybe because Eojil In Wangsimni is known as a great bakery, this was a really textbook egg tart!! Crisp, moist shell, which is exactly what I like, with a smooth filling that wasn't too sweet. Delicious!!
We ordered lots of sweet desserts, so we both went with iced Americanos!!
It has an open-kitchen feel, so it looked clean and hygienic too!!
The egg tart looks absolutely the best, right? I highly recommend the Eojil In egg tart!!

The Matilda chocolate cake at Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch tasted as good as it looked, and it wasn't as sweet as I expected!! What surprised me was that it wasn't too sweet, and the chocolate was thick and fudgy but still smooth!! I loved that it wasn't very sweet!!

Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch has a 1st and 2nd floor, with a mix of chair seats and sofa seats. We wondered where to sit and ended up on the 1st floor! The 2nd floor is also spacious and comfortable!
The wood-tone interior is a little exotic, so it felt like being in a café abroad!! There's a variety of chairs and sofas, so you can pick what you like!! The floor tiles at Eojil In Wangsimni are so pretty too, right? We took the table right next to the counter!!

Eojil In Wangsimni seemed oddly familiar, and it turns out I'd been here before!! A friend who used to live nearby took me!!
Even as I write this post, I want that Matilda chocolate cake again.... If you come to Eojil In Wangsimni, definitely try it!! I highly recommend the cakes and desserts!!

The churro madeleine was pleasantly sweet without being heavy too!! And the egg tart.. no words.. it was totally my taste!! The napkins were so cute too!!

I highly recommend Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch as a café when you have plans at Wangsimni Station!! I left in such a good mood after having dessert following dinner. The lighting is nice too, so I think it would also work for a date or a blind date!!
