Western restaurant in Euljiro 3-ga: 99,000-won five-plate set at Pyu

In short

Pyu Euljiro (PhEw) is a new Western restaurant on the 1st floor of Tower 107 near Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. The writer shared the 99,000-won five-plate set for two at Pyu Euljiro with the craft beers Cheongdam-dong Myeoneuri and Sarangbeombeok, and named the charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco the best plate. With a spacious, bright wood-toned dining room and a 10-person table, Pyu Euljiro works for both an Euljiro date and a team dinner.

Introduction photo of Pyu Euljiro, a new restaurant in Euljiro

I visited PhEw, a new restaurant in Euljiro! Pyu Euljiro (퓨 을지로) is on the first floor of Tower 107, and the building entrance alone is so stylish that I was excited before even walking in. Today I'll go through the walk from Euljiro 3-ga Station, the mood of the hall, and the five plates of the share set, in order. 🌿

Where is Pyu Euljiro, and what are the hours and parking?

Walking from Euljiro 3-ga Station to Pyu Euljiro

From Exit 11 or Exit 9 of Euljiro 3-ga Station, it takes about 5-8 minutes to reach Pyu Euljiro. But Euljiro 3-ga Station is huge, and you know how crowded this route gets, right? On busy times like weekends, it's safer to allow about 10 minutes at a woman's walking pace. It's on the first floor of Tower 107, so it's not hard to find. You can see the hall clearly through the glass windows on the lobby side.

The Tower 107 building is stylish and clean on the outside too, and it matched the image of Pyu Euljiro perfectly.

What are the hall and seating like at Pyu Euljiro?

The hall at Pyu Euljiro is bright wood tones with light beige and green plants dotted around, and the atmosphere was just completely relaxing.

Wide hall to the left of the entrance at Pyu Euljiro

Fabric sculptures hang between the ceiling and the tables, and the lighting isn't overdone, so it's easy on the eyes. The hall is this spacious to the left of the entrance, and there's plenty of space on the right too.

There's also a 10-person table in the middle on the left. I personally really liked the interior of Pyu Euljiro.

It really felt as relaxing as the description in the photo below says. The daytime shots of the restaurant, like the main photo on Naver Place (Korea's map and review app), look great too, so I'd like to visit during the day as well.

Pyu Euljiro menu and prices

The menu at Pyu Euljiro runs from pasta and risotto at ₩25,000-₩30,000s, to charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco at ₩34,000, seasonal fish steak at ₩38,000, and striploin steak at ₩54,000. The menu is quite varied, and there are plenty of sides you can order separately, like crispy eggplant fritters or truffle smashed potatoes.

There were so many things I wanted to try that I ended up going with the two-person share set. I also picked two craft beers, Cheongdam-dong Myeoneuri (청담동며느리, "Cheongdam-dong daughter-in-law") and Sarangbeombeok (사랑범벅, "love mess"). Haha, the names are unusual right from the start. While I was taking a sip of beer, the dishes started being served one by one.

How do the five plates of the Pyu Euljiro two-person share set taste?

The Pyu Euljiro two-person share set (₩99,000) comes out in this order: fresh salad → bisque pasta → charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco → crispy eggplant fritters → basil tomato sorbet. The best of the five plates was the charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco.

Fresh salad

The fresh salad was pretty in color right away, but I was so hungry that it vanished in a flash.

Bisque pasta

The bisque pasta is based on a shrimp sauce, and it's clean with no fishy smell.

Charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco

The charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco was my favorite dish! The crisp, springy octopus goes well with the tangy wood ear mushrooms, and the romesco sauce (a Spanish red pepper and nut sauce) matched especially well. I think I heard anchovy goes into it too, but anyway, the sauce was superb.

Crispy eggplant fritters

The crispy eggplant fritters are the textbook case of crispy outside, moist inside. The portion is generous too.

Basil tomato sorbet

For the basil tomato sorbet, I liked the combination of the melon on top with the tomato sorbet that has a subtle basil scent. It wraps up the meal by leaving your mouth feeling fresh.

Is Pyu Euljiro better for dates or team dinners?

Pyu Euljiro looked good for a date in Euljiro, and since the restaurant is spacious with large seating like the 10-person table, it also seemed fine for a team dinner. I highly recommend it when you want a bit of atmosphere in Euljiro! Next time I'm thinking of going back for the steak or risotto. 😊
