I wanted a nice brunch on the weekend, so we went to Debbie's! I found it while hunting for brunch spots lately, and we had a really satisfying meal, so here's my review :)

What's the atmosphere like at Debbie's near Anguk Station?
Debbie's is a Blue Ribbon brunch restaurant on Changdeokgung-gil near Anguk Station, and you feel the charming mood the moment you walk in. A Blue Ribbon spot full of atmosphere, Debbie's 🩵

Blue Ribbon restaurant 🩵

It wasn't too loud, but it wasn't so quiet that it felt stiff either, so it was a nice place to chat with friends and enjoy a relaxed brunch.

It's so cute and cozy 🧡

It felt like it would suit a date too!

What the three of us ordered at Debbie's, and the palace view
The three of us ordered three dishes, French toast, eggs Benedict and meatball pasta, plus 3 mimosas. I wondered if that was a bit much, but once we ate, it was just right.

You can see the palace nicely too 🩵

A view straight out of a historical K-drama, haha

Are the mimosas at Debbie's good for daytime drinking?
The mimosas at Debbie's were fresh and not strong on alcohol, so they were easy to enjoy with brunch as a light daytime drink. And of course, we couldn't skip the mimosa!

We ordered 3 and each had our own. They were refreshing and light, and really lifted the brunch mood.

Since the alcohol isn't strong, it felt perfect for drinking in the daytime without any pressure.
We were hungover from the day before, so we went non-alcoholic 🩵
So pretty ❣️

The flowers are so pretty too

How is the eggs Benedict at Debbie's?
The eggs Benedict at Debbie's was salty and nutty, with bread that kept its texture, a no-fail brunch dish. I was quite happy with it.
The yolk broke beautifully and blended with the sauce, and the salty, nutty flavor really came through.

The bread wasn't soggy and kept a nice texture, so the whole dish was well balanced. A safe, reliable pick among brunch dishes!

The best dish at Debbie's: meatball pasta
Surprisingly, my personal favorite was the meatball pasta at Debbie's. I usually don't expect much from pasta at a brunch place, but the meatballs here were the real deal. They were tender with no gamey smell, and the sauce was rich with a good savory depth, so I kept reaching for more. The portion was more generous than I expected, great for sharing among 3 people.

Is the French toast at Debbie's very sweet?
The French toast at Debbie's is lightly crisp outside and moist inside, and not overly sweet, so it wasn't heavy. It looked so appetizing when it arrived, and from the first bite I thought, "Good call ordering this." If you like sweet brunch, you'll definitely love it, and it goes perfectly with coffee or a mimosa.

Why I recommend Debbie's for brunch near Anguk Station
Overall, I thought Debbie's was a brunch spot with a good balance of food quality, atmosphere and menu. It's great for a casual get-together with friends, and well worth recommending for a date too!
If you want to try a variety of brunch dishes, especially if you like French toast or eggs Benedict, it's worth a visit. The meal was so satisfying that I'd like to try other dishes next time 🥂
From the light mimosas to the filling dishes, the balance was good, so it feels like a no-fail choice whoever you go with! If you're looking for a brunch place with a nice mood near Anguk Station, I'd say Debbie's is worth a visit at least once 😊
