Seogwipo indoor attraction for character exhibits: Figure Museum Jeju

While traveling around Jeju with my parents, I visited Figure Museum Jeju (피규어뮤지엄제주) in Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo. It is an indoor place to look around characters from movies and animation, and my parents enjoyed it even more than I did, which made exploring together especially fun.

What are the admission fees, hours, and parking like?

There was a large parking lot, so parking was convenient. A wristband was put on us when we entered, and seeing several characters from the entrance made the exhibition feel quite large.

The admission fees and hours listed at the time the original post was written were as follows.

• Adult admission is ₩14,000.
• Admission for middle and high school students is ₩12,000.
• Admission for children from 24 months through elementary school is ₩10,000; children under 24 months enter free.
• Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last admission at 5:30 p.m.

During my visit, there was also a notice offering a free mask for writing a review with a receipt. I chose a Minions mask.

Which characters and activities are on the first floor?

I was happy to see Gollum right after entering. The first floor displayed life-size statues of Marvel and DC Comics heroes. I spent some time looking closely at Iron Man and Captain America because their details were so finely rendered.

There were also several activity areas where visitors could try on character masks. Since you could join in while looking around, I think children would enjoy them too.

Lighting and three-dimensional displays created spaces that felt like scenes from movies. As I walked around examining the characters one by one, I thought it could also work for an indoor date.

Which movie and animation exhibits are on the second floor?

The second floor had spaces featuring movie characters from Batman, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and more. I also looked at retro toys that brought back memories of childhood and limited-edition pieces. The Star Wars figures were displayed in a particularly cute way, so they caught my eye.

There was also a space displaying characters from animation and games, not just movies. Familiar faces appeared throughout, making it easy to explore with my parents.

I also saw Frozen and Stitch, two of my favorites. After seeing the exhibits, I felt like going home and watching Disney movies again.

Is it comfortable for parents, and are there good places for photos?

The indoor temperature was comfortable during my visit, and the viewing route was neatly arranged, so we did not get tangled up as we moved around. My parents enjoyed looking around too, so it was a nice place to stop together during a family trip.

There were several photo spots, so it was easy to take pictures. I enjoyed looking at the figures' details along with the exhibition design, and since everything could be explored indoors, it also came to mind as a travel stop for rainy or otherwise unpleasant weather.

Are there a goods shop and annex beyond the main building?

The goods shop selling souvenirs was also quite large, and I looked around at various products. I thought it would be a good place to look for something to give as a gift.

After finishing the main building, we could move to the annex. It had an atmosphere like a cabin, and I liked the scent of wood.
