Apgujeong Western restaurant before a wedding shoot: Eulji Darak

My boyfriend and I finally got back to an Apgujeong pasta favorite, Eulji Darak Dosan Park (을지다락 도산공원점). Eulji Darak has lots of other branches and I'd heard so many good things, so I was excited even before we went 🤍

How far is it from Apgujeong Rodeo Station?

Eulji Darak Dosan Park is an 8-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station. I passed showrooms and shops around Apgujeong Rodeo on the way, so the walk went by quickly.

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and when I went up, there was a bookshelf like this instead of a door 🧐

When I opened the bookshelf, the restaurant appeared like this. It felt like Alice in Wonderland and I thought it was so cool!!

The restaurant has a bright, white-toned feel. Sunlight comes in and the lighting is soft, so the mood was lovely ✨️ I think it's perfect for an Apgujeong blind date or a meeting between two families (청모, the pre-wedding family meetup) too!

Here's the menu. So many things looked delicious that my boyfriend and I seriously debated ordering four, but we have a wedding shoot coming up and need to diet, so we only ordered three haha

What does the Darak Rose Pasta taste like?

This is the Darak Rose Pasta.

The rose pasta at Eulji Darak Dosan Park isn't the orange-pink rose pasta we usually eat. It's made with tomato sauce + fresh cream + meat sauce, so it felt like something between a ragu pasta and a rose pasta.

There was quite a lot of fresh cream on top, so I wondered if it would be a bit heavy, but it wasn't heavy at all! The cream added just the right richness and smoothness, so it was delicious without being cloying 🤤 My boyfriend said this was his favorite dish haha

The signature Darak Omurice

You can probably guess how it tastes, but it's the signature dish and looked delicious, so we ordered the Darak Omurice. Can you see the egg spreading open..🫢

The egg was so soft and fluffy. It melted the moment it hit my mouth..🫠 The omurice sauce was rich and savory too. There was plenty of sauce, so it stayed moist until the very last bite.

It tasted like the textbook example of a really well-made omurice!!

Spicy crab risotto: okay if you can't handle spice?

This is the spicy crab risotto. It's a smooth, creamy risotto packed with crab meat. The sweetness and savory depth of the crab made it so good.

You also get the kick of chili oil, and it was just the right amount of spicy! Even people who don't handle spice well can eat it without trouble. Western food can get tiring after a while, so I'm really glad we ordered one spicy dish! This crab risotto was my number one pick 🤤

Overall verdict

If you're looking for an Apgujeong pasta restaurant that's good for conversation, I recommend Eulji Darak Dosan Park. The warm, sunlit atmosphere is lovely, and the tables are spaced just right, so it's really easy to talk. It's also close to Dosan Park and Apgujeong's hot spots, so it's perfect for an Apgujeong date. Above all, I recommend it because the food is delicious! 🍽
