Songpa jazz restaurant with a 10,000 won cover: date night at Allegro

Allegro is a live jazz Italian restaurant on the 3rd floor at 57-1 Olympic-ro 32-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, right by Exit 2 of Songpanaru Station. I wanted a date night with my husband after a while, so while searching for good restaurants in Songpa I found Allegro! I got excited when I saw there was even a live jazz performance, so I booked. To cut to the chase — we were totally! satisfied. hahaha

Best accessibility of any Songpa restaurant near Songpanaru Station! Recommend checking Naver Maps before you go. :)

We're in Seoul too so I worried it'd be complicated to park, but we didn't take the car — turned out much more convenient not having to worry about parking while enjoying the show.

Allegro menu prices: gnocchi 24,000 won, pork neck steak 33,000 won

Allegro's menu is ordered via tablet, which was convenient. Mains run 20,000-30,000 won, salads 10,000-20,000 won. * For reference, here are Allegro's menu prices

We ordered the mushroom cream potato gnocchi, sous vide pork neck steak, seafood salad, and house wine.

Black-toned interior and a night view through floor-to-ceiling windows

The moment you walk into Allegro, you see the night view through the floor-to-ceiling windows — so pretty. The black-toned interior gave it the best atmosphere among Songpa restaurants I've been to!

Table settings were clean and the lighting was soft, just right. Perfect for a blind date or a couple's date...? hahaha

Since it was before the show started, we got to see the setup. Amazingly, there's live jazz every single day, and the day we visited, a group called 'Kim Cheol-su' was playing.

Wine glasses and the draft beer tap were also stylishly placed. This kind of interior really adds to the atmosphere.

Allegro show times and cover charge: 10,000 won on weekdays

Allegro's jazz show is split into two sets. Set 1 runs 7:30–8:10pm, Set 2 runs 8:25–9:05pm, as posted. If you book or visit during the show, there's a per-person ticket fee. It's 10,000 won on weekdays and 15,000 won on Friday and Saturday.

If you're planning your dinner around show times, good to know there's a ticket fee!

Bread service and the seafood salad at Allegro

Pre-meal bread showed up first! We asked for butter to go with it, and they gave us balsamic instead, which actually made it even tastier hahaha lol

The staff were all kind, so we started off in a great mood. They drizzled balsamic over olive oil, and dipping the bread in it was such a perfect match. haha

Wow, the seafood salad arrived! It was so pretty just from its shape. haha The seafood salad had bite-sized pieces, so it was easy to eat. Octopus, mussels, and shrimp all in there, and it tasted fresh and zesty.

You could scoop the salad up with a fork. Eating it together with the pre-meal bread made the combo even better.

Mushroom cream potato gnocchi: crisp outside, soft inside

Mushroom cream potato gnocchi, one of my favorites! The bowl and the plating were both so pretty. This gnocchi was totally my style haha — crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, I couldn't stop reaching for it.

I switched from fork to spoon partway through eating the gnocchi, boldly haha lol The cream sauce was insanely savory... T-T True to a good Songpa restaurant, everything tasted excellent! I scraped up every last bit of the sauce. lol

Sous vide pork neck steak, tender for a pork neck cut

The sous vide pork neck steak and fries plating, ta-da! The visual looked a little sparse haha, but the taste was great. The sous vide pork neck steak was truly tender. hahaha I was surprised it wasn't tough at all for pork neck — moist and soft!

The sauce was creamy too and paired really well with the meat. A steak like this at a Songpa restaurant!

I also tried a piece of the steak with balsamic. haha Dipped in balsamic, it had a whole different charm, good good hahaha

We also ordered white wine, and it paired so well with the food. A glass of wine on the side makes for the perfect date course, right?!

The four-piece jazz set and the vocal stage at Allegro

When Allegro's show time came, the four-piece jazz band started playing. The whole atmosphere completely changed once the show began T-T So good...! The instruments were piano, guitar, bass, and drums, four members total.

After playing as an instrumental group for a while, a vocalist appeared later, and the scene of the jazz band and vocalist performing together was truly amazing! The vocalist's singing was so cool and the band played with such energy, it made for a relaxing weekend. I think this might be the only Songpa restaurant with a live performance like this...! (Honestly I haven't been to any other jazz bar in Songpa lolololol)

Eating a meal while listening to live music was pure healing time. Sometimes you need a weekend like this to get your energy back for work!

Allegro also runs a lunch happy hour

Looking at Allegro's menu, I saw they also have a lunch happy hour, so visiting during the day could be a more budget-friendly way to enjoy it. To anyone looking for a good Songpa restaurant for a date, I'd recommend the jazz bar Allegro. Whether with your spouse or partner, it'll lift your mood and you get to see a live jazz show too, making for an even more special day. Next time I want to try the pasta menu. hahaha

The salad was totally fresh and zesty, the gnocchi was crispy outside and soft inside, and the steak was tender with a creamy sauce. The gorgeous black interior plus live jazz made for a perfect date atmosphere. With mains priced around 20,000-30,000 won, it's a great restaurant to visit on a special day.
