Seongdong dessert café after dinner: iced vanilla latte, Eojil In

Hey everyone!!!!!

This is Yeoyu ෆ(ᓀ_ᓂ.) I went out for dinner near Wangsimni Station and had a bit of time left, so I stopped by a café near the station — a comfortable wood-toned place.

I went to a café where both the coffee and the desserts were delicious...

Let me share the info!!!

Where is Eojil In and what are its hours?

📍 18 Majo-ro 9-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, floors 1-2

Eojil In, the café by Wangsimni Station, is 1 minute from Exit 6 — walk straight out of the station and you'll find it :>

Eojil In's first floor: dessert counter and long shared table

The first floor has the dessert case and register, so there aren't many tables, but it's quieter, more spacious, and comfortable!!

And there's a long table like this, great for when you visit with several people :>

Note that the 1st floor seats are ‼️ no studying or laptop use ‼️ — good to keep in mind

Eojil In's second floor: curtained seats where laptops are allowed

Eojil In's second floor is more spacious inside with a variety of seating!!

There's side-by-side seating and high tables too. And can you see the left side of the photo? There are curtains that seem to divide the space into sections

Given how many customers there were, it was nice to be able to sit relatively quietly!!

What's in the display case: baked sweets, egg tarts, basque cheesecake

Right next to the register there's a display of baked goods! So many varieties, and every single one looked so cute...

The egg tarts looked so good, honestly exactly my style at a glance, which made it so hard to decide...

But right next to them, these basque cheesecakes were waiting... how could I not get one

Well then I really have to find out haha (you know this means I'm recommending it, right!!!)

The basque cheesecake even has its own display case... and here's the even more amazing part — they also have matcha basque cheesecake, how am I supposed to resist haha

How the matcha basque cheesecake and iced vanilla latte tasted

Ah, so beautiful... basque cheesecake + coffee is obviously delicious, a combo I can never resist (I genuinely wonder how anyone else resists it)

If you're someone who only orders vanilla lattes at cafés, you can probably tell just from the look of it that Eojil In's vanilla latte will be delicious

Oh, Eojil In is a vanilla latte spot for sure haha

An iced vanilla latte that's not too sweet, but not so plain that you'd think 'I might as well just drink a caffè latte' — perfectly suited to my taste

You can already tell the matcha basque cheesecake is going to be dense and delicious!!!!! And it really was... 🤤 And you know the end part of a basque cheesecake is the best, right — that part that looks kind of burnt (does anyone know what that's actually called..?)

It was so good that my sister and I kept taking a bite each and going 'try this, try this'

There was nothing like this near my school..? No basque cheesecake spot like this..?

I'm so jealous of Hanyang University students...?

Who is Eojil In best for?

Maybe because it's near the station, all kinds of ages were visiting! That's how comfortable the space feels (but it's also pretty)

• ✅ The 2nd floor allows laptops, so it's also good for working quietly!

Being able to sit there without feeling like it was noisy, even with lots of customers and a full house — I officially confirm this as a quiet café in Wangsimni. And the most important thing is

The coffee was delicious and I really enjoyed the matcha basque cheesecake too, so next time I'm nearby I'd love to try their standard menu too!
