I went to a brunch café with a great view on the weekend. I got to enjoy a good-value brunch spot in Seochon, which is still as hot as ever!

Where is Wine Stein Seochon, and what are its hours?
Wine Stein Seochon (와인슈타인 서촌) is a brunch café and wine bar on the 3rd floor at 9-2 Pirun-daero, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It's a 5-minute walk from Gyeongbokgung Station, Exit 1. Hours are 11:00–23:00 on weekdays, 11:30–23:00 on Saturday and 11:30–18:00 on Sunday.

Wine Stein Seochon is on the 3rd floor of the Inwang Building, right in the middle of Seochon's main street. There's no elevator, so heads up: you have to walk up!
Wine Stein Seochon atmosphere: big windows and a cozy interior
The inside of Wine Stein Seochon is known for its wide-open windows and cute, charming decor.

The second we walked in, the open windows and the cute decor were so totally my taste that I started taking photos everywhere before anything else.

Wine Stein is a brunch café by day and a wine bar by night. It has quite a lot of tables plus group seating, so it works well for get-togethers too. I bet that window view is super romantic in the evening!

It's the perfect spot to chat quietly while looking out the window, and great for photos too. If you're looking for a casual brunch café or wine bar for a Seochon date, I recommend Wine Stein.
Wine Stein Seochon lunch set: price and what's included
The lunch set at Wine Stein Seochon can be ordered at lunchtime and costs ₩16,500 per person. You mix and match a croissant sandwich, salad, pasta, mushroom soup and a drink into set A, B or C.

Honestly, for this price this lineup is a really good deal. We split the dishes so we could try a bit of everything.

- Set A: croissant sandwich, salad & pasta, Americano
- Set B: croissant sandwich, mushroom soup, Coke Zero
Lunch for two, served! It comes out on cute little plates.

The whole table was full, it photographs well, and it looks hearty just to look at.🤤

Croissant sandwich, salad and carrot rapée
The croissant sandwich + salad in set A came on one plate with roasted potatoes, cheese, tomato, salad and the sandwich.

The croissant sandwich plate in set B came with carrot rapée (shredded carrot salad). The crispy croissant is filled with cheese, ham, apple and arugula. Salty ham, nutty cheese, and the real kick was the apple. That crunchy texture meant it never felt heavy, and we finished it in no time!

How is the mushroom soup?
The mushroom soup at Wine Stein Seochon is thick enough to scoop up, and one spoonful spreads a rich mushroom flavor through your mouth. The cream is smooth and nutty, and I liked that it wasn't salty.

Ragù penne pasta
The pasta in the lunch set was a ragù pasta! It's penne, seasoned just right with great savory depth. It would go well with wine, so adding a glass of wine to the lunch set sounded like a good idea.
Wine Stein Seochon wine shop and gift shop
Wine Stein Seochon runs a wine shop and a small gift shop together in one corner of the space. Wine ships free when you buy 6 or more bottles.

The space is fairly big, with a wide variety of wines, and since the owner hand-picks everything, you can choose with peace of mind even if you don't know much about wine. Wine lovers will have fun browsing.

The photo zone shots turn out great too🎀✨☀️ The cute decor really reminds me of a Seochon gift shop. Eat in a pretty space and take lots of photos before you go.

When can you order at Wine Stein Seochon?
At Wine Stein Seochon you can order coffee, lunch sets and wine from 11:00 to 17:00, and food and wine from 18:00 to 23:00. To get the lunch set, you need to arrive before 17:00.

The evening menu has pizza, pasta and even desserts, so it's perfect for a blind date or a date that calls for a neat, proper meal! Next time I'd like to visit in the afternoon on a sunny day and catch the sunset too.
