This time we went to "Bueokgan," and honestly everything from the parking to the atmosphere to the food was satisfying. Parking and stroller access at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch has dedicated parking both above ground and underground in the building, so it was easy to visit by car. When you're moving around with a baby, the route from the parking lot to the restaurant matters a lot too — the building has an elevator and the restaurant is on the 2nd floor, so it was fine to get around with a stroller or a baby in arms.

Inside Bueokgan: a spacious, warmly lit dining room

Walking into Bueokgan, the first thing I noticed was 'wow, this is way more spacious and comfortable than I expected!'

🪵The interior makes use of wood and green tones, with pretty lighting and furniture, so overall it felt upscale yet warm. The tables aren't cramped and the seating comes in various styles, so it suited both dates and family outings well.

Best of all, for families like us visiting with a baby, they had baby chairs and infant tableware ready. With the elevator and the sheer amount of space, this was a Haeundae Western restaurant that was easy to visit with a baby.

What we ordered that day was

Arugula prosciutto pizza, seafood tomato hot-pot pasta, sweet potato fries, and peach iced tea from a Naver coupon on top of that!

Arugula prosciutto pizza with jalapeño sauce

First up, the arugula prosciutto pizza that won me over with looks alone!

There was a really generous amount of arugula piled on the pizza, with thinly sliced prosciutto tucked in throughout.

The subtle spread of arugula's signature aroma paired with the prosciutto's just-right saltiness made for a combo that worked really well together. The crust wasn't too thick either, so it wasn't heavy. Instead of a regular hot sauce, they gave us what seemed to be a jalapeño-based sauce — drizzling a little on added a spicy kick that made it even tastier!

Seafood tomato clay-pot pasta

What I especially enjoyed that day was the seafood tomato hot-pot pasta.

As you can probably tell from the photo, the seafood is really generous! From plump shrimp to big chunks of mussels, it looked hearty even before we started eating. You'd expect a hot-pot tomato pasta like this to be fairly spicy or intense, but Bueokgan's version wasn't as spicy as I expected, so it was easy to eat. The tomato sauce was plentiful too — I ended up dipping leftover pizza crust into the sauce while eating the pasta, and honestly that was a hidden delicacy.

If you're looking for a pasta spot among Haeundae restaurants and you like seafood, this dish is worth trying.

Sweet potato fries

Sweet potato fries are actually an appetizer menu item, but we ended up eating it after finishing almost all the mains. Still, the first bite had me thinking, 'oh, this tastes like a delicious roasted sweet potato!' Crispy on the outside, with the signature sweetness of sweet potato inside, plus cheese sprinkled on top — it was good on its own.

Dipping it in ketchup especially gave it a sweet-and-salty combo that kept my hand reaching back for more.

With the peach iced tea from the Naver coupon added in, it was perfect for sipping between bites of pizza and pasta.

Is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch good with a baby?

We visited with our baby that day too, and the staff were friendly, plus they had baby chairs and infant tableware ready, so it looked like a good place to come with a baby. Above all, the route from dedicated parking to elevator to a spacious dining room was a pretty big advantage for us eating out with a baby. The food overall was satisfying too, but the clean, pretty atmosphere kept the whole meal feeling good.
