Seogwipo café with sofa seating and sandwiches: Forest Jeongbang

When I go to a café with my baby, I look for food we can share and somewhere comfortable to sit. At Forest Jeongbang (포레스트 정방) in Seogwipo, I spent time with my baby on a sofa and had cake and a sandwich.

How close is it to Jeongbang Falls, and how do you order?

Forest Jeongbang is about a one-minute drive from Jeongbang Falls, so it was in a convenient spot to stop by after seeing the waterfall. I visited when I was a little hungry in the afternoon, and there was a wide range of drinks as well as cakes and sandwiches. I ordered an Americano, yogurt rice cake, and a chicken breast sandwich.

I ordered on the first floor, and they brought the food to my second-floor seat. Since I had come with my baby that day, they also gave us a drink as a complimentary service. My baby immediately reached out and grabbed it.

When the food arrived, the cake was large and the sandwich was thick. Together with the drinks, it made for a fairly filling spread.

What did the yogurt rice cake taste like?

The first thing I noticed about the yogurt rice cake was the cross-section with a tangerine in the middle.

When I tried it, it felt lighter than the fresh cream cakes I usually eat. It was sweet with the distinctive tang of yogurt, so it went well with coffee.

I prefer refreshing desserts to heavy ones, so I enjoyed it. My baby picked up and ate the tangerine in the cake with a fork.

Is the sandwich filling enough for a meal?

The chicken breast sandwich was something I ordered without high expectations, but ended up being pleased with.

I had thought of it as a simple snack, but it was generously filled. For me, it seemed like a good amount for a full meal.

When I am out with my baby, I also have to think about meal times, so I liked being able to choose something filling at a café.

It included tomato, lettuce, chicken breast, cheese, and more. It was filling and tasted good, which made me curious about the other sandwiches too.

Are there comfortable seats and a high chair for babies?

As someone visiting with a baby, I liked that there was sofa seating. Sitting on the sofa made it comfortable for both my baby and me to stay.

There was also a high chair inside the café.

What is the view from the window, and is there outdoor seating?

What I remember most was the view from the window. I could see an island outside, and the sky was clear that day.

I spent time looking at the clear sky and green scenery.

There was outdoor seating too. I sat inside this time, but when the weather gets a little cooler, I would like to spend time outside as well.

The comfortable sofa seating for my baby and the filling sandwich made this a satisfying visit.

The prices also felt generally reasonable to me. If I return to Seogwipo, I would like to stop by again and try the outdoor seating on a cool day.
