Seogwipo BBQ restaurant: ocean-view black pork at Jeju Healing Dwaeji
In short
Jeju Healing Dwaeji (제주힐링돼지) is a black pork barbecue restaurant in Seogwipo, Jeju, with ocean views and a lawn garden. I ordered a geun (600g) of black pork, which staff par-grilled; its juicy char and meljeot pairing were excellent. Verdict: a relaxing, satisfying spot for black pork by the sea.

An exterior framed by the sea and a lawn garden
The neat exterior with its ocean view was the first thing that caught my eye. A wide lawn seating area stretches out in front of the building, creating a garden-like setting where you can really soak up the charcoal-grill atmosphere. The open Jeju sea and green grass came together so beautifully that I already felt refreshed before the meal even began.

Inside Jeju Healing Dwaeji and its group seating
The interior was pleasant and spotlessly maintained. The tables were spaced far apart, making it easy to move around, and the floor-to-ceiling windows took in the outdoor scenery and sea at a glance, so it never felt stuffy. There was also plenty of group seating, making it seem more than suitable for family visits or gatherings.

The table setting

Having tried it myself

The juiciness and charcoal aroma of the black pork
I ordered the restaurant's signature black pork, one geun (600g). Even before it went on the grill, the thick cuts stood out for their fresh, bright-red color and just the right amount of marbling. As the meat began to cook over the intense charcoal heat, its savory aroma tickled my nose.

A staff member browned the meat in a first pass for us, so we could eat comfortably. It held onto its juices beautifully, too. I tasted the first piece plain, without any seasoning, and savory juices burst across my mouth the moment I bit into it. The signature chew of black pork and the rich flavor of its fat worked so well together that it was hard to put my chopsticks down.

Pairing it with meljeot and side dishes
The pairing with meljeot, Jeju's fermented anchovy sauce, was excellent too—it is simply indispensable when you think of Jeju. Dipping the pork generously into the bubbling meljeot brought out even more savory depth. It was pleasantly salty and pungent without any fishiness, neatly cutting through the richness of the meat.

Wrapping the pork in lettuce with seasoned scallion strips and pickled vegetables was another tidy, refreshing combination.

The cuts were thick, but the charcoal aroma had permeated them deeply, so every last bite stayed delicious without becoming tiring. True to its reputation as a Seogwipo black pork favorite, both the quality of the meat and the grilling were satisfying. Thoughtful additions such as mushrooms and tangerines grilled alongside it also enhanced the pork. It was a hearty, abundant, thoroughly satisfying main dish.
Dedicated parking and final thoughts
I was very satisfied to enjoy high-quality meat amid ocean views and a garden atmosphere.
There is ample dedicated parking on the property, so you can visit conveniently by car without worrying about where to park.
If you are looking for a Seogwipo black pork specialist, I would recommend Jeju Healing Dwaeji for its impressive open ocean view and green outdoor lawn. The high-quality black pork, deeply infused with charcoal aroma, was thick and full of moist juices, prompting an involuntary little wow with every bite. The flavor-packed meljeot pairing was great, and because the staff handled the grilling themselves, I could simply relax and focus on the meal.
With its pleasant indoor space and spacious dedicated parking lot, it is equally well suited to a family meal or a date. Just like its name suggests, it felt like all five senses were being refreshed throughout the meal, so I strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a special meal while traveling in Seogwipo.
