If you’re looking for a seaside picnic lunch box in Seogwipo
On this Jeju trip, I really wanted to pack a tasty lunch box and head out for a seaside picnic. So I visited Jejju Donghong Branch (제쭈 동홍점), a well-known spot in Donghong-dong, Seogwipo, praised for its generously packed lunch boxes! Even the exterior looks so neat.^^

Jejju Donghong Branch is at 58-8 Donghongjungang-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea. It is open daily from 10:30 to 23:00, with last orders at 21:30. You can use the Dongdaemun Outlet parking lot.

By the entrance, there was a Good Price Business certification sign and a detailed board with the opening hours. It should be helpful for anyone planning a visit.
Once I stepped inside, I was surprised by how much bigger, cleaner, and cozier it was than I expected. The warm wood-toned interior made me think it would be nice to take a lunch box away, but just as nice to eat there.

Jejju Donghong Branch menu and group lunch box reservations
Time to take a proper look at the menu. The first page kindly lays out everything from grilled webfoot octopus rice bowls to a range of individual meals, complete with photos. On the next pages were satisfying set meals, sushi, and a colorful selection of fried side dishes.
They also offer group reservations for Jeju lunch boxes, which sounds especially useful for all sorts of gatherings and events.

The atmosphere while waiting inside
I ordered the Jejju Lunch Box, assorted fried items, and egg sushi. While I sat and waited, the wooden table held a utensil caddy and napkins, and fresh green trees outside the window looked so pretty.

Looking around, I saw cute little potted plants and vases that made the space feel even brighter. The owner’s eye for detail really showed, right down to the small decorative touches.
One side of the restaurant had a sign explaining that side dishes and water are self-service, and right beside it was a self-service bar with bowls for side dishes and banchan (Korean side dishes). Everything was kept very neatly.
A sign at each table said that taking part in a receipt review event could earn you a drink or sushi. I chose a drink.^^
The country-of-origin board was also carefully detailed, item by item.
The kitchen has an open layout, so I could watch the owner preparing the lunch boxes. They were making sushi by hand while wearing sanitary gloves, and I liked being able to see both the clean kitchen and the preparation process.
Egg sushi, shrimp sushi, and salmon sushi

The Jejju Lunch Box, with webfoot octopus rice, sushi, and fried items
My lunch box was all packed and ready to go.

The Jejju Lunch Box I took away was packed with such a great variety!! It included webfoot octopus rice, fish cutlet and fried shrimp, fresh salmon sushi, raw shrimp sushi, grilled shrimp sushi, broth, rakkyo pickles, ginger, kimchi, and onion salad.

The bright yellow egg sushi looked appetizing from the start, too. It was sweet and soft.
There was such a varied, crispy assortment of fried foods that it was fun choosing what to try. Fish cutlet, fried shrimp, mini dumplings, meatballs, and potato bites.

One dip into the sauce and I couldn’t help but be impressed by the flavor.

I also got to enjoy a refreshing drink through the event. The food was great and the selection was great, but what impressed me most about Jejju Donghong Branch was the kindness. The owner and staff had the loveliest smiles and such warm, friendly manners. I felt genuinely happy walking out with my lunch box.
