Robain Coffee Jeju Jocheon Sinchon Branch is a large ocean-view café in front of Sinchon Port in Jocheon, Jeju, and a natural rest stop on the Olle trail. On a quiet weekday afternoon we took a second-floor window seat with two iced americanos (6,000 won each) and a honey cake with walnut (7,000 won), then went up to the rooftop, where there is no glass between you and the Jeju wind. For a break mid-walk with a sea view, Robain Coffee is the answer.

Marijoa Seogwipo Jungmun Branch is a Korean horse meat course restaurant on Ieodo-ro in Jungmun, Seogwipo, Jeju. A first-time horse meat eater ordered the Joa Course at ₩39,000 for two and ate eight dishes in order — extract, sashimi, yukhoe (raw beef-style tartare), sushi, makkas (horse meat cutlet), braised ribs, grilled meat and shabu-shabu — all of it mild, with none of the gamey smell expected. Because each dish comes in small shared portions, Marijoa suits families with different tastes and is worth returning to with parents.
